I agree completely Patrick. Boyle has inspired me to shoot something this summer on my iPhone and an old canon video camera I found. 28YL is the real deal.

Dang I don't know what slaps harder, this video or that hat

last i checked there was a gnarly condition one on ebay. i found it locally and paid stupid money off a guy.

Great point, it’s all about story. If you have a good story, you can shoot it on an iPhone. It’s a point the folks that are so excited about how these new AI generated videos are going to take over Hollywood are missing. The images are nothing without an engaging story.

The irony is that the script turned out to be shitty.

this is the best film of 2025 and an all timer script.

My biggest disappointment this year so far.

Awesome video dude! Filmmaking is a powerful outlet for creatives to inspire, entertain, and provide escapism through visuals, sounds, and emotional narratives. Nothing is better than making audiences emotionally invested in the story you’re trying to tell. I always appreciate the advice you give us fans about filmmaking. Thank you for making awesome videos for us to watch!

I'll never forget the first thing on the making-of dvd of Monsters Inc is the featurette: Story is King. The most important part of a good film is a good story.

Danny Boyle is my favorite visual storyteller.

Content is king!

Man I’ve been using pearla to record in f-log on my iPhone to match my other cameras and damn. All anyone needs to make good imagery is an iPhone 14 or later and an understanding of lighting. It’s insane what an iPhone is capable of.

And this is why we love you. Great video man.

1000000%! You can capture engaging images on a literal cardboard box with a hole. If the stroy is great the images will be great. Gear only makes it easier but never is a substitute for story.

I dig your account. Keep in truckin’

Yet to see it and I've been met with wildly polarising takes about it haha, I'm assuming it makes some bold decisions?

Sure, the film was great and it look wonderful at most sequences. But that script needed more work. They went fully bananas on that second half of the film

I think the third act is some of the best work of Garland’s career. Fantastic way to start the new trilogy.

🤘🏼👹🤘🏼

Where’d you get the SEGA cap?

So how does an iPhone used as primary camera serve the story?

yes thx, in reference the original breakdown...available here...wondering sony challanges own products...
