Its a "feel good" movie. Nothing highbrow. I read the book and enjoyed it and as an adaptation it did a fantastic job. It's not trying to be Don Quijote. Its a mildly goofy feel-good scifi story and its good at that. Not everything needs to be Citizen Kane
