if you mean the dot after the plus, I ocaml uses separate operators for floating point arithmetic, eg +. *. /. can't say I'm really a fan either but sometimes you gotta inherit some crimes

Oh is this like a projectional editor? I used to use Jetbrains MPS for tooling bit it was a little bit overcomplicated

yeah we're aiming to keep things a bit simpler to use on the surface than MPS, though it's been a bit of a 2 steps forward, 1.9 steps back kind of deal. we did a user study comparing with MPS (for just the core code editing mechanic) here:
