This new AI tool builds full applications from just a description. I just asked to create a typing game, and Windsurf generated the files, installed libraries, and launched it for me. Here's how:

First, head over to: And install Windsurf. Inside the app, you’ll be directed to sign up for free at Codeium

Once logged in, you’ll notice some icons on the top bar.  - The first icon opens up your project files view. - The second one, opens the terminal And the fourth one opens Cascade, which is where the AI magic starts

Cascade is an upgraded AI chatbot with access to tools. You can just describe what you want and it will install the dependencies and create the files for you.

By the way, there are also other AI capabilities such as autocomplete. This feature makes in-line and multi-line suggestions based on the context of your code!

How does it compare with Especially for backend stuff

I haven’t tried it with backend stuff tbh I will experiment more this weekend! If you try it out, I would love to know your thoughts.
