“In the wake of ‘The Boys,’ I signed a deal with Amazon. They wanted to develop something with me in mind, so I had a few meetings with different writers and different kinds of takes for shows. When I met Derek Haas, who created #Countdown and has written all 13 scripts, I just clicked with him immediately. He and I actually grew up in the same town; we went to neighboring high schools, so we had a lot in common right off the bat. But he's just a really great storyteller, and he comes from a long line of writing really kind of intense stuff. And so the character that he created, I just felt like I could tell that story in the world that he was also creating. That led to more meetings, and then that led to some outlines. I got to read the first script, and I just really liked where it was going. I liked the kind of world that he was setting it in, and I got excited about it. I was fortunate enough to be in a position to do that and be there from the beginning, the genesis of it all, 'cause that's not normal. For most actors, everything is kind of already cooked, and then they come in - they get cast in a role that's already happening. Nobody seems to know how insane GPT-5.4 is with computer use. I asked GPT-5.4 to draw the OpenAI logo in Microsoft Paint. No computer use API. Just a screenshot and basic tool calls (click, drag, press_key) all coordinate-based. The first drawing was awful. And GPT knew it. It looked at its own result and essentially went "yeah, no." What happened next is what broke my brain: It opened a browser. Went to Bing Images. Searched for the OpenAI logo. Found one. Then (and I cannot stress this enough) it used the Windows area screenshot shortcut (Win+Shift+S) to snip just the logo off the screen. Went back to Paint. Imported it. Centered it. All on its own. No instructions to do any of that. It just improvised a better strategy when the first one failed. My prompt was "Draw the OpenAI logo" with Paint already opened on the computer. Sure, it's "cheating." But honestly? That's exactly what I'd do too. And the fact that it came up with this plan from nothing but a screenshot and a coordinate system is wild.

It cost them $440 million, and as a bonus it bankrupted the guilty subsidiary and forced CVS to sell it off. The company was Omnicare, a pharmacy that supplies medications to nursing homes and other long-term care facilities. CVS bought it in 2015. That same year, a former Omnicare pharmacist filed a whistleblower lawsuit, and the Justice Department joined the case in 2019. The scheme was simple and it ran for years. Omnicare kept dispensing drugs on stale, expired prescriptions and billing the government for them over and over. From 2010 to 2018 that added up to more than 3.3 million false claims and about $135.6 million in overpayments from taxpayers. A federal jury reached its verdict in April 2025. The judge did not mince words, calling it deliberate, egregious, and a very big fraud on the government. Then came the math that made it sting. Under the False Claims Act, damages get tripled. So that $135.6 million ballooned to $406.8 million, and the government asked for another $542 million in penalties on top. The court entered a total judgment of about $948.8 million. CVS ultimately agreed to pay $440 million to resolve it, with the first chunk due almost immediately. Here is the part that makes this different from every other settlement. The penalty was not a rounding error the company could shrug off as the cost of doing business. It broke the unit that did the fraud. At this point the paperwork was already signed and the customer was just waiting for it to be moved from the showroom floor. I remember buying a car and they left it in the showroom instead of moving it to the delivery area to protect it. I ended up getting it a week later and when I inspected the car I noticed new scratches and a spill in the interior that wasn’t wiped up too well, I could still smell the coffee that was spilled. When I went to do the paperwork I asked what were they doing about the fresh damage. Since they failed to protect the car, it wasn’t even in the same new condition than when I agreed to purchase. I understand they were going to wash it but scratches don’t wash away. They offered me a detail but something told me that wasn’t good enough, I wanted more. Fortunately since I’ve bought other cars before from them they offered me another car but it would be a few weeks to get in. In the long run I ended up going that route, I didn’t want a new car that needed buffed out already. I am quite picky about the cars I buy and I want the least amount of damage possible, no chips or dings and swirl marks. I only take delivery on perfect cars. Is that asking too much? Or am I just being difficult. The way I see it is cars aren’t cheap and I want the best possible, can’t blame fame for that.
