The old expressway route is shut due to waterlogging, and a landslide has occurred on the old highway as well. The entire route from Pune to Mumbai is currently blocked. The Mumbai-to-Pune lane remains operational with no issues, although traffic is moving slowly. We appeal to everyone to postpone their journey from Pune to Mumbai. The administration will provide full details once the road is cleared. You should only set out for Pune from Mumbai if it is an emergency; that lane is operational."

Pune-Mumbai Expressway Accident: Two Killed, Missing Link Closed for Hours After Major Crash A major accident involving two heavy vehicles occurred on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway early Monday morning, leaving two people dead on the spot and disrupting traffic for several hours. The crash took place around 5 a.m. near the Khalapur Food Mall, where the two heavy vehicles were severely damaged in the collision. An Ertiga car approaching from behind also rammed into one of the accident-hit vehicles, resulting in injuries to two occupants. Finally experienced the Missing Link/ Connecting Link on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. • Crossing the entire ghat section now takes just 8-10 minutes. Unreal considering it used to take hours sometimes. • The tunnel is massive, 4 lanes + service lanes inside. • The bridge section is genuinely an infrastructure marvel. • Found a hidden spot in Lonavala from where we could see the entire Missing Link from far away. Beautiful view. As someone who regularly travels between Pune and Mumbai, this is going to make a huge difference. Now just waiting for Navi Mumbai Airport international flights to start.

Yet another example of lack of communication from the govt about missing link and Mumbai Pune express way closure. Gave no information at Atal setu entrance from Mumbai side, allowed people to cross Atal Setu, slammed them with 250rs toll and then asked them to go back to Mumbai, so that is another 250rs toll in reverse direction. 500 rs for not being able to go to Pune. One wonders, is the govt itself here to scam its people?
