Maharashtra minister Dadaji Dagadu Bhuse says "At the time of entry into Mumbai, there were 5 toll plazas, including Dahisar toll, Anand Nagar toll, Vaishali, Airoli and Mulund. Rs. 45 and Rs. 75 were charged at these tolls, this was in effect till 2026. About 3.5 lakh vehicles used to travel up and down. About 70 thousand of them were heavy vehicles and 2.80 lakh were light vehicles. Today, the government has decided to exempt light vehicles from toll after 12 midnight...The time that people used to spend in queues will be saved. Pune-Mumbai Expressway Accident: Two Killed, Missing Link Closed for Hours After Major Crash A major accident involving two heavy vehicles occurred on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway early Monday morning, leaving two people dead on the spot and disrupting traffic for several hours. CSMT-bound 12126 Pune-Mumbai Pragati Express crosses over to enter the Up Through line at Vikhroli as the sixth line on which it is travelling ends abruptly at Vidyavihar and the train needs to continue its journey ahead to Dadar & then CSMT, in the process detaining a fast suburban EMU local train. Every such crossover leads to loss of time for Express as well as suburban trains, which get lined up adding to the delay domino effect. #Mumbai #MumbaiRailway

All government agencies, including the Mumbai and MBVV police have failed to resolve traffic jam menace at Dahisar Toll Plaza, a key entry point of Mumbai. 🚨 Waving of toll and paying it off to contractor in one go has not resolve any problems. The entire Dahisar toll plaza area is nothing but chaos. Extremely slow metro works causing bottlenecks, pathetic condition of roads, poor toll management and no proper traffic management are some of the main reasons. Babus from all these departments need to come down, resolve their blame games nd fix this chaos. MMRDA's poor management of metro work takes the lead in this chaos.

The stone struck the windshield of an Ertiga, shattering the front glass. Fortunately, none of the occupants sustained any injuries. After receiving information about the incident, Khandala Highway Police rushed to the spot and inspected the area. Finally experienced the Missing Link/ Connecting Link on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. • Crossing the entire ghat section now takes just 8-10 minutes. Unreal considering it used to take hours sometimes. • The tunnel is massive, 4 lanes + service lanes inside. • The bridge section is genuinely an infrastructure marvel. • Found a hidden spot in Lonavala from where we could see the entire Missing Link from far away. Beautiful view. As someone who regularly travels between Pune and Mumbai, this is going to make a huge difference. Now just waiting for Navi Mumbai Airport international flights to start.
