This post from Brian Krassenstein is pure propaganda. The Marines didn’t “illegally detain” anyone. Under Title 10, they’re authorized to protect federal buildings, federal agents, and temporarily detain threats until law enforcement arrives. That’s not martial law. That’s not a Posse Comitatus violation. That’s called following the law.

For additional context this was a Army Veteran that was trying to cut through the secured area instead of having to go around through the rioters. When he was released he told a reporter that he knew he was wrong and the Marines were doing their job and acted extremely appropriately.

This is what local law enforcement is allowing to happen in Minnesota. Instead of working with federal law enforcement, they’re standing aside while anarchists attack federal agents and destroy property. No federal badge authorizes the unlawful arrest of or use of excessive force on American citizens. When ICE crosses that line, they’re committing crimes under state law. Local law enforcement has a duty to intervene and protect the public, not rogue agents.

If you are in this country illegally, you have broken federal law. And it is the responsibility of the federal government to enforce that law, to remove you and return you to your country of origin. When leaders in blue states refuse to comply with federal authorities, they are not “resisting,” they are breaking the law themselves. You don’t get to attack law enforcement just because you don’t like the outcome of an election. If you disagree with policy, you win the next election. That’s how a constitutional republic works.

She then ignored lawful orders, escalated the situation, and accelerated her vehicle into an agent. That’s when she was shot. None of this was unavoidable. If she hadn’t been breaking the law and obstructing law enforcement, it wouldn’t have happened. It really is that simple.

The alleged meetings at the Pentagon appear to be centered around possibly thwarting the use of the Military by Trump to enforce laws, which is illegal. I see nothing wrong with trying to make sure laws are followed within a department when the President-elect has hinted he'd break them: Example: Posse Comitatus Act: This act restricts the federal government’s ability to use the military for domestic law enforcement, including deportations, unless authorized by law. Deportation enforcement is typically handled by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP), both civilian law enforcement agencies under the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
