‼️⚠️THIS IS A SERIOUS POST!! OUR FRIEND COULD’VE DIED It’s my friends birthday and we went out to this restaurant to eat . The restaurant is called Ottoman Taverna in WASHINGTON DC. Everything was going perfectly fine, and we ordered our food and during the process of ordering our friend asked specifically, multiple times if there was there any PEANUTS in the food. The waiter said “NO”. Then, he asked again, just to make sure to make he said no again. Our food arrives, and the two friends (who both have serious allergies, hence why they asked if it had nuts in it) share their food. Within two minutes our friends started throwing up like crazy and it’s all due the fact that there were nuts in the food and he asked them multiple times if they were nuts and they said no. When we discuss it with the staff they were (instead of trying to be helpful or accommodate us) and saying “it’s the his fault for getting sick because it was his friends food and he ate it” mind you they are BOTH allergic to peanuts. Regardless, even if he ate our friends food, they told him the person who had the food allergy that there were no nuts, so both of our friends had to be rushed to the hospital(which took about 40 mins for them to come) While we were trying to talk to them they were being extremely aggressive, the had a non-chalant tone, and they had the nerve to still have to pay for the full amount of food. All they did was take off one food item, which is the ones with peanuts other than that they were like we still have to pay for the whole thing, mind you one of our friends had to be rushed specifically to the hospital via car, while the other one is being rushed. He is now safe with us and receiving veterinary care. ❤️‍🩹 But it wasn't only the horses. We witnessed people shooting pellet guns at locals and at animals. One mare who was shot with a pellet gun went running up the street with her goal following, heart breaking , 😡😡💔💔💔💔 We also tried desperately to help two puppies, but by the time we found a Garda who was willing to help us, the puppies had disappeared.😡💔 At one point, a member of our MLHR team was also put in danger. We raised our concerns with Boris An Garda Síochána , but we were deeply disappointed that we did not feel the seriousness of the situation was being taken as seriously as it should have been.💔😡 We always work and highly respect an garda Siochana , some of our volunteers and friends are Gardaí, which is why this experience was particularly upsetting. We left Borris angry, heartbroken and exhausted, wondering how this level of suffering can be allowed to happen in Ireland. And this isn't just about Borris. These fairs happen across the country. POOR HORSE 💔💔….ONE OF THE RIOT HORSES 😡😡😡💔💔💔 Today we had a call from An Garda Síochána Tallaght, this poor horse was lying on the ground and could not get up, suspected colic. Garda Kate moved fast, she has horse experience and was eventually able to get the poor thing up of the ground, he was totally exhausted and struggled to walk. We arrived and he was very lethargic but moving so we called our vet making sure he’d be ready once we got him loaded. When waiting on transport we discovered this is the horse in the video on the trap with a child on the drivers lap that was ridden into the riots at City West last week 😡😡😡😡😡😡 The poor soul has severe cuts on his legs from Ill fitted straps and sores on his mouth from the bit. No wonder he was weak 💔💔💔 Gardaí are now investigating. These two guys were on their way to their fishing spot. They came to a stop sign at the same time as this bicyclist and blew through his stop sign and didn’t stop. When the men passed him they yelled at him for not stopping. So this guy followed them to their fishing spot.
