Recently I announced a partnership with an organization that helped me turn my manuscript facsimiles into museum-quality replicas. I went live with this announcement launching a run of Papyrus 52 fragments that you could own. Today I am excited to reveal that you can now go to and get your very own reproduction facsimile of the 3rd century Papyrus 1 (P.Oxy. 2) -- the very first manuscript discovered in January 1897 by Grenfell and Hunt in the now famous manuscript cache of Oxyrhynhcus, Egypt.

Let me tell you a story about what happens when an apologist picks a fight with someone who actually knows how to research the manuscripts. Wes Huff attacked @GnosticInformant. Called him a liar. Threw a manuscript on screen as proof. That manuscript was Codex Alexandrinus. It already had the longer ending of Mark. Wes defeated his own argument and didn't realize it. Neal caught it. A 9th Century Old Irish Poem about being safe from Vikings, read in Old Irish (with reconstructed pronunciation) and in Modern English Translation. This short piece was written by a monk in the margin of an Irish manuscript of Priscian's Institutiones grammaticae. The poem's author welcomes a stormy night free from the risk of attacking Vikings, and supplies us with our earliest attestation of the Irish name for Scandinavia.

In The Hand of Dante is officially streaming on Netflix. This is not a drill. It’s available as we speak. This stars Oscar Isaac, Gerard Butler, Martin Scorsese, and Al Pacino, amongst some more big names, & follows a story that combines two timelines- a man in modern NYC tracking down the manuscript of Dante’s Divine Comedy & Dante himself writing the piece in the 14th Century. My review will be posted in the next day or two. Cannot wait.
