This rocket company, Rocket Factory Augsburg, is building rocket engines with car parts!!! Here's Dr Stefan Brieschenk explaining how their unique approach to building rockets using off the shelf automotive components will help make them competitive. This whole tour is fascinating!

If you haven't watched this full video yet, I highly recommend it. It's one of the most fascinating videos I've ever produced. Going between @rfa_space and @isaraerospace is such a cool contrast and each company is doing some VERY unique things! -

@rfa_space I see issues, like temperature differences for example? None of those parts are designed to operate in space, where it goes from hundreds of degrees to negative hundreds of degrees and back in less than an hour at orbit? Send fun and all, but I seriously doubt this will work.

@rfa_space Sounds like you should watch the whole video, because I too asked these exact same questions!

@rfa_space Wow

@rfa_space From person experience, this is the way to go! It is incredible the money we throw out of the window in space industry, because we think we are so special.. Yes, space is specific, but so are other industries as well!

@rfa_space When do you suppose theywill have lost all thecost advantages they build on today - by the demise of the ICE car industry? @thejefflutz ?

@rfa_space ...but ze optimizer told us...

@rfa_space Especially like in the full length video how Stefan gets angry if they have to make some parts w/ CNC :) Quote of him from another podcast: "I want to raise the least amount of money to do this. Every € we spend we ask 5times whether it's really necessary."

@rfa_space A black man named Robert Goddard was responsible for creating and building the world's first liquid-fueled rocket. #blackhistoryfact #blackpeopleinventedeverything

@rfa_space except the valves, the valves are from the car factory. 😃
