ZLH🚀: yes, this is the motor of the wind turbine, located at the highest point of the turbine shaft. these are the blades. they look small now, but in reality, when I went to the wind turbine manufacturing plant, it was about 80 meters long. really huge. and the proportions might not be accurate. when we stood below it, it was incredibly impressive. it works like this: the wind comes from this direction and drives the blades to rotate. then the motor converts that kinetic energy into electrical energy. there are cables below that can directly transmit the electricity to a substation, where it's stepped up or down in voltage, and then sent to places on land where the electricity is used. that's how a wind turbine works. 👤: it's a very meaningful souvenir. I asked Garry Tan how to use meta prompting to get better at AI: "My partners at YC Jared Friedman and Pete Koomen showed me how to do this. You can take almost anything that you do all the time and just drop it into a context window. And then say, “Here’s a bunch of inputs and outputs." And maybe you also add a bunch of notes. And then you tell it, “Write me a prompt that can act as an agent that takes this input and makes this output over here.” You can do this for almost any type of knowledge work. And you can even introspect. "What are things you notice that I did to convert this from the input to the output?”. And then you can just start using the prompt. Initially, it’s going to suck. Because it’s just not that smart yet. But what’s funny is now, I also use it to Iterate my writing. You can be very direct, "I would never say that", "Don’t say it like this", or "Oh, you used the long word there, use the short word". Just speak to it conversationally. And then when you're happy with the output, you can use that new output to make a new prompt. "Based on this conversation, give me a better initial prompt that incorporates all the things we talked about." And you can do this with literally everything. And in theory, there’s so much it applies to that people do day-to-day. You could use it for tweets. You could use it for editing podcasts. You can use it for pretty much everything. I have a folder of prompts that I use all the time. My YouTube prompt is on v27 or something. I'll go through this process with all the different max models. I'll use GPT 5.2 Pro. I’ll use Grok. I'll use Claude. Then, I’ll take all the outputs from all the models and put them into Claude and say "Here’s my prompt, here’s the output from four LLMs, including yourself. Rate each response and tell me what the pros and cons of each approach are." And I usually say "give it to me in numbered form". And then you can agree with one, disagree with two, tell it three is this or that. And then after that, you say given all of this, synthesize it."

And in theory, there’s so much it applies to that people do day-to-day. You could use it for tweets. You could use it for editing podcasts. You can use it for pretty much everything. I have a folder of prompts that I use all the time. My YouTube prompt is on v27 or something. I'll go through this process with all the different max models. I'll use GPT 5.2 Pro. I’ll use Grok. I'll use Claude. Then, I’ll take all the outputs from all the models and put them into Claude and say "Here’s my prompt, here’s the output from four LLMs, including yourself. Rate each response and tell me what the pros and cons of each approach are." And I usually say "give it to me in numbered form". And then you can agree with one, disagree with two, tell it three is this or that. And then after that, you say given all of this, synthesize it."

The final scene in The Godfather Part II, with the family gathered around the dinner table, was originally going to include Marlon Brando, but he pulled out at the very last minute. Coppola had to rewrite a whole new ending the night before the shoot. He explains: “It’s a very interesting story, because I had written this scene that we go back to, around the period just before the first Godfather, when they were all young… My idea was that they would come together, finally, at the end, as a family. And the end of the movie would be a big, beautiful scene with Marlon Brando and Al Pacino, sort of summing up the whole saga that had gone down. And I was negotiating with Marlon Brando right up to the last minute saying, “Marlon, please, just one day. We’ll give you this money.” But Marlon was so mad at Paramount - for ultimately not paying him any money on the first picture, or whatever he was mad about - And although I didn’t know it until the last day, ultimately, it wasn’t going to be possible to have him in the picture. So I went to bed that night really worried. I had lost the end of my movie. I had to shoot it the next day. I had no idea what to do. I was sleeping in the Chateau Marmont Hotel. I had this scene. I had paid all this money to get Jimmy Caan to come back and some of the other actors to be in the last scene. And in the middle of the night, I just had this idea. And I wrote it - which is that they were all gathered for a surprise birthday party for the Don. And so after this scene plays out, in which Michael’s decision to join the Marines is kind of examined relative to really what all we know is going to happen, and what this young, beautiful, collegiate man who’s a war hero, who goes straight, is going to end up to be: this man without a heart, who’s killed his own brother and alienated his wife… And I thought there could be one beautiful scene with him and Don Corleone as we remember him from the first movie. Since Marlon didn’t come, I made it the surprise party, and I built it up to the point where they all said, “Oh, he’s here. He’s here.” And they all run out of the room. And as you’re waiting for Marlon to come into the room, you just stay on Al… And I came up with the solution at, like - three in the morning. And the next day they said, “Well, Marlon’s not coming.” And I said, “That’s all right. I’ve got a scene we can do without him.” And it was this one. Also, I like that staging kind of, especially about families who ultimately dissolve in front of your eyes, the idea that you have a table full of people. And one by one, someone argues or someone goes off, and then you’re just left with one … And everything else now is just sound. Steven Bauer almost didn't get the role of Manny in Scarface because Universal didn't see "the killer" in him. Specifically, they were unsure he could pull off the scene where Manny kills Frank Lopez. He later explained how he did it: “There was a week when they [the studio people] saw me doing a reading with Al, and they said to my agents, ‘He’s perfect but we haven’t seen that killer in him.’ They wanted me to work with this great acting coach, Sandra Seacat, and she gave me some acute insight into what I needed to allow. What she said was ‘You’re a prince, and Manny’s a prince to some degree, so that comes easy to you, but you will not allow the frog in you to be seen. You’ve got to open up and allow the frog, if called upon, to come out.’ My dad also gave me pointers on that scene: ‘You can’t just walk up and shoot him. Your facial expression has got to be believable that you’re going to pull the trigger and end a man’s life that you’re not mad at, you’re not angry at him. If I had to do that,’ he said, ‘I would find something to be angry about so you can pull the trigger.
