One of the smartest details from the Revenge of the Sith novelisation is how Obi-Wan and Anakin deceive Count Dooku. Knowing they had failed on Geonosis, they open the duel with basic attacks from Ataru and Shien, forms that Dooku’s Makashi easily dismantles. This convinces Dooku that he’s facing the same Jedi he defeated three years earlier. Then they switch. Obi-Wan returns to his impenetrable Soresu, while Anakin unleashes the refined Djem So he mastered during the Clone Wars. Dooku suddenly realizes the opening exchange was a ruse and that Anakin had surpassed power levels he thought were possible.

This scene from The Clone Wars where Anakin interrogates Poggle The Lesser has always been one of the most unexpectedly disturbing moments in the entire series IMO. Such a dark sequence, and one that It just goes to show that as much as Palpatine further pushed Anakin towards the Dark Side, it wasn't (and never was) 100% his decision to fully make. There was always a piece of Vader inside of Anakin Skywalker, and the brutality here absolutely shows it.

Have always loved this deleted scene from Revenge of the Sith where Padme and other concerned Senators directly confront Palpatine about his emergency powers and a way to potentially end the Clone Wars. Really puts into perspective how Padme was a founding member of The Rebellion, whereas Anakin looms behind Palpatine as democracy continues to fall. Palpatine telling Anakin that he believes Padme is hiding something also makes his eventual fall to the Dark Side even more emotionally complex. Wish this made the final cut of Episode III.

Yoda asking Anakin to help him escape the Jedi Temple because he knows that Anakin's expertise is "in disobeying The Council" is one of my favorite bits from The Clone Wars. It's a moment that makes Yoda feel just as mischievous as he was when Luke first met him on Dagobah in The Empire Strikes Back. Such an underrated arc of episodes.

A rare glimpse of Darth Sidious operating outside of the shadows, but also a great reminder that the biggest threat to Palpatine’s plan to seize control the galaxy was never The Jedi, but rather the actual democratic process itself. Senators like Bail and Padmé being so outspoken probably pushed Palpatine’s plan back more times than we actually realize.

Still think it’s awesome that the 2003 Clone Wars micro-series showed us The Battle of Coruscant from Revenge of the Sith in an entirely different perspective. Seeing Jedi Master Saesee Tinn lead an army of Clone Troopers to board a Separatist ship in space was something truly epic.

It’s really amazing that the very first episode of The Clone Wars still has one of the best moments from the entire series IMO. Yoda telling his Clone Troopers to remove their helmets to let them know that although they may look the same, they are all different people, is honestly such a great scene. What a phenomenal way to immediately further develop and add more layers to The Republic’s army from The Prequels.

It’s really amazing that the very first episode of The Clone Wars still has one of the best moments from the entire series IMO. This scene from the Obi-Wan Kenobi series where a former 501st Clone Trooper begs Obi-Wan on a street for a few credits is honestly one of the most heartbreaking scenes from any recent Star Wars project. The fact that Obi-Wan still gave him credits just shows that The Jedi genuinely cared about The Clones more than Palpatine ever did. Deeply sad to watch.

Even Maul returning and making himself known within the galaxy a decade later never once actually disrupted Sidious’ ultimate goal. Honestly hilarious how quickly Palpatine dismisses him as a threat in front of The Jedi here.

It’s really cool that we got a glimpse of what Clone Trooper training was like on Kamino in the Republic Commando game from 2005. We’d get a further exploration of this in the 2008 Clone Wars series, but you literally get a first person view of what life was like for a clone from creation to deployment on Geonosis. Such an incredible experience. One of the best Star Wars games ever.
