This scene is actually so technically impressive with how much interaction between Ted and the actors there is. Idk if they've ever shown exactly how this was done

The most impressive part is Matty throwing Ted. It isn't a prop Ted, that's a full CGI Ted being thrown by Matty.

The shadows/lighting, the movements, and physical acting is so just REAL. Like they obviously had a dummy to use with CGI over it to give Ted’s animated features, but you can really see why a single TV episode takes a million dollars, the production really cared on making it good

i believe there’s a clip where they show them beating johnny up with a pair of ted arms on sticks, then overlaying the CGI they use the arms any time ted interacts with another character

There was a bts about this, i remember it was just clever shots and the fact that it is just a dummy, they have a hard and soft dummy.

It's more editing than cg here, 50% of these shots are just the puppet?

“Ow! Stop! Y’re givin’ me a fuckin’ migraine!”

You know you fucked up big time when those 2 are on the same team

I love how you can see John smiling at the end. You know they had fun filming this scene.

they actually go about it pretty well. john trying to protect himself instead of reacting to the hits probably makes it a lot easier

If I'm not mistaken, this is the best-rated episode of the whole series.

Blair was kind of cute…

I haven’t finished the finale yet but this honestly is my favorite episode as a whole especially for how insane it is and this is just a tiny slice of that.
