This should never happen. Yet, in a few days World Food Programme will be forced to cut critical food assistance for 2.5 million Syrians in dire need. I'm calling on our donors and partners at the Brussels Conference on #Syria today to give generously, and to do so quickly...

@WFP The WFP is not accountable for all the donations it has been receiving...gross mismanagement, negligence and incompetence... Food aid stolen for Ethiopia, Sudan and Kenya leaving starving children... #ResumeAid4Tigray #Aid4Tigray

@WFP humanitarian work is so so so amazing concept b/c it is all about humanitarian. But Some organizations like @WFP and @USAID are working dirty politics behind the scene. This isn't allegation but we saw it in our eyes when @WFP works armed rebellions with weapons& logistics.

@WFP How inconceivable! Lives at stake that have survived the dirtiest war, induced water shortage, the Turk onslaught.. What a world of desasters! In Germany due to a lack of civil engineering there's no access to communication for some, shunned by the prejudiciary. Equally: no food!

Kicking off #WEF23 in #Davos. I'm calling on leaders arriving here today to join World Food Programme in fighting for a critical cause: WORLD HUNGER! We urgently need your help to save lives and avert a food availability catastrophe in 2023. Food security is the crisis of modern times.

Conditions in Gaza are dire. Food, water and other essential supplies are running out. A trickle of aid has been allowed in, but for every person who has received food assistance from World Food Programme, at least six more are in need.

In Gaza, humanitarian assistance remains a lifeline for struggling families. World Food Programme reaches around 1.5 million people every month with food and nutrition support. Sustained access, funding and support are critical to protect fragile gains.

🚨 Swiftly after the border reopened, a first World Food Programme convoy crossed from Chad into Sudan at the Adré border post. Our trucks are heading now to Darfur to deliver life-saving food and nutrition supplies to populations in critical need.

The war in Gaza has left more than 2 million people entirely dependent on food assistance. From fresh bread in local bakeries to food parcels and cash-based aid, World Food Programme is scaling up life-saving support to reach those in urgent need.

The ongoing fighting in Syria is expected to displace around 1.5 million people, says the UN World Food Programme. This is a breaking point for a food crisis in the country where 12.9 million people are already considered food insecure.

The first 72 hours are critical. As rescue teams work to find survivors, World Food Programme teams are pre-positioning food and lending our logistics capacity to support a full response for the people of #Venezuela. I spoke to BBC News (World) on the situation and need for fast action.

I’m calling on all Oklahomans to live out the Oklahoma Standard and be a neighbor. If you need food assistance, visit to connect with resources. And if you’re in a position to help, give back through your local food bank or church.

I toured a World Food Programme warehouse in Amman that’s providing food assistance to civilians in Gaza. It’s imperative that we see a substantial and sustained increase in humanitarian aid. That’s a big focus of the conversations with our allies and partners during my visit to the region.

10.4 million people are in need of urgent food assistance in Ethiopia. World leaders should recognize the reality of Ethiopia’s humanitarian catastrophe and the government’s actions contributing to it.

With only days of food left in #Gaza, time is running out. Trucks of World Food Programme food & other humanitarian supplies are at the border ready to go. Humanitarians need reliable, sustained access and the ability to distribute aid safely. Thanks BBC News (World) for the important conversation.

It's almost two months since Israel cut off all supplies to the 2.3 million people of Gaza, and the World Food Programme says its food stocks have now run out. Today, the UN agency delivered its last supplies to hot meal kitchens there, which are expected to run out of food in the coming days.
