This song never gets old…..

Young boomer here. I did road trip with this album and my 6 years younger wife was like, “woah”.

I always thought it was a great song, but it was them doing their best to be like CCR...

They were such a great band, when you go through their massive catalog there are a huge amount of great album tracks, and of course the hits going back to the early 60's are mostly classics. Long Cool Woman was the perfect hit for them in 72 and fit so well with CCR and T Rex.

Holly shit, I thought this was CCR

What’s great about these songs to me is that the band knew how to play instruments, sing, perform and write their own songs. No crazy nude costumes and no flashy stage. 🎶🎤🎸

Great song. It’s my opinion, that Tony Hicks is an underrated guitar player. Multi instrumentalist. Definitely deserves more recognition.

I agree, the Hollies had some great music....🎶

I absolutely love this song but now when I hear the first verse all I think of is Naked Gun

@StevenDughetti I’ve always had a hard time understanding the words. But great song tho! 🎸 💃🏻

Best intro ever

Saturday night I went downtown working for the FBI. He saw this woman in a Black Dress & he was a bad mess. He screwed up this sting operation ( bootleggers) because this 5 ft 9 in women in A black dress made him forget why he was there. That's my take

Love it!!!! ❤️

The Hollies were severely underrated

Love, Love This Song. Love the Hollies.

Allan Clarke, the best. Lead singer of the Hollies and writer of Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress.

Fantastic!

The Hollies deserve more respect. So overlooked!

They will be playing this song 50 years from now.

One of my favorite songs of all times. So provocative. So sexy, so dangerous, so fun...

Correct! Hollies!

One of the greatest opening riffs to a song.

Great song from a great band! Saw them twice, alas without Mr Nash, but they were fabulous!

👍

Wonder how they would’ve sounded had Graham Nash stayed

The first record I ever bought,, It was a 45.

Nope, never!

Yep

You are correct, brilliant song!

One of my favorite bass lines to play 🥰

💖

Love that song, Always turn it up

What's with wearing a jacket with nothing underneath lol.

Agreed

@JaynieOMalley Brilliant 👏👏👏
