[UNDER INVESTIGATION] An investigation is underway regarding an incident (with video circulated on various social media platforms) whereby a SAPS Constable allegedly assaulted a member of the public. The incident is said to have occurred on 02 April 2026, at the Volksrust Police Station. It is worth noting that in light of the serious allegation, the SAPS has instituted an internal investigation to thoroughly examine the circumstances surrounding the incident. In addition to the internal investigation, a criminal investigation is also underway to ensure all aspects of this matter are addressed transparently. The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) has been notified of the incident and it is expected that a parallel investigation will be conducted by this Directorate.

And to you Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, When an official signals a willingness to massacre protesters, the international community has a responsibility to act before thousands of innocent people are killed.
