I don't condone this treatment of a teacher but teachers in Ugandan schools need to know that the era of beating children is gone. It is illegal and wrong. It doesn’t matter who you voted for or what your political beliefs are; putting kids in detention centers is wrong. When I look at my two boys, I don’t think about them getting taken. No parent should. And it shouldn’t be a privilege that we have because of what we look like. Everyone deserves that right. This has to stop.
