I visited this kailasha temple during school trip in grade 7 and it’s mesmerizing. Went again to see it in grade 11. It’s simply unbelievable and something that one can’t even decode as to how something so beautiful can be created for one megalithic stone

But but Mughals who used to live in tents in barren arab deserts introduced 'art and architecture' 😂😂 Like this temple, all our ancient Hindu temples which are architecture marvels are many times older than 1400 year old Islam.

There are many such architectural marvels by ancient Hindu Indian architects/sculptors .. Each unique in its own way Unfortunately, the political system and the lethargic attitude of the people of India, proper focussing on global level couldn’t be done..

Can you imagine the visualization abilities of the architect? We don’t even know his name!

How did they carve it? Using stone tools? Iron chisels?

An extraordinary reminder of ancient craftsmanship and vision. The Kailash temple is a timeless testament to Bharatiya engineering brilliance, where devotion, and mastery converged to carve a living monument from solid rock. I don't think any other can beat this phenomenon.

It wasn’t they, it wasn’t them, some stones cannot be carved. It had to be beaten off piece at a time, then smoothed as texts state. Let’s stop the misnomers and focus on their technology seriously like adults should.

The Kailasa Temple at Ellora was carved top-down from a single rock, removing an estimated 400,000 tons of stone—an achievement that still leaves modern engineers in awe
