I like to work on shot patterns by aiming at an alignment stick about 10 feet in front of me and hit a fade, straight, and draw. A fade should always start left and a draw should always start right. Aiming at the stick is the key so you can feel the right path.

Baddy has carried out a successful 7-hour surgery on his right leg. According to the doctors, they can't operate on both legs at the same time. An underrated skill in golf is being good at "Recovering" I personally think this could be worth 3-5 shots a round if you have a day where you find some trouble off the tee Listen to me talk through this shot I was faced with today while playing. I could have just chipped out & wedged it on, 2 putt & move on. Sure, that's definitely an option However, being able to hit these shots here could turn bogey's into pars This is why I'm a big advocate for hitting big hooks & slices on the range just to LEARN how to change your face & path relationship when you need to. A prime example is this situation right here... I had to bend a PW 30-40 yards You can't do this if you are always trying to hit it straight. Learn to move the ball, not so you can be vintage Tiger & shot shape the ball into flags, but so you can get yourself out of trouble if needed 👊

AIRPORT BOREDOM: A good one. This is my life. Comparing swing videos to see if there are swing inefficiencies which cause poor performance. Homer on the left Foul ball in a strike out on the right. Some times the differences are easy to see. Some times you’re looking for a needle in a hay stack. Some times the swing looks good but just not ready on time. There is something here that stands out. Can you see it? If you can see it what’s the cause?

"The worse thing you can do when you get on the range is to try and smack it as hard as you can. I just try to hit lots of small shots, hit the middle of the club face. Then build it up from there, that makes the difference. You can the build the reps up from there. Hit it a bit harder, find a bit of confidence. It seems really simple, that's actually what all the guys are doing. Nobody's coming out and trying to smack it as hard as they can. When separation stays open, it can not only result in a potential loss of power, but also push the club path too far to the right, making it difficult to hit a cut and control the left miss. Viktor Hovland made 8 birdies to close with a 5 under par 67 at the Masters. After the round, he went deep on the ball flight laws and the importance of matching up the club face to the swing path: “It's a good question. It's just tough to answer. First of all, that's why I like TrackMan and understanding the ball flight laws are very good to have because you can start a ball left, more left than you would like, but if it's curving back, who cares. That just means you're -- granted, if you're hitting it in the center your club path is just maybe creeping a bit more left, but if your face is in the right spot you're just hitting a bigger curve and then you can adjust that accordingly. “If you're starting the ball left and it's going left, is it a face issue, are you striking it off the heel and they're not coming back? There's a lot of minutiae involved with that. “If it's just a face-to-path issue or a club path direction, you can solve that pretty easily by playing a bigger cut or playing a bigger draw or moving it a bit more forward or back in the stance, simple stuff like that.” This is a great explanation that a lot of amateurs can learn from. The Masters
