You are never committed to the takeoff until you are beyond V1. And the decision making process revolves around correctly identifying the failure and making your go/ reject decision by V1.🤷‍♂️

A Takeoff Configuration Warning System (TOCWS) activation should trigger an immediate rejected takeoff (RTO), followed by getting the aircraft off the runway and checking that nothing else has been missed. Not sure which airline this is, but something like this can be a career terminator. The local CAA is going to have a field day with this one, to say the least — that is, if it’s reported. Oh, and I almost forgot: the cabin crew’s “take your positions” call came just as the aircraft was entering the active runway.
