It's going to paralyse the tarantula, drag it to a burrow and lay a single egg on the spider's abdomen. When the egg hatches, the larva consumes the tarantula over several weeks. Because the larva needs fresh food, the tarantula is kept alive throughout the feeding period. It remains paralysed but not dead.

Nature at its most awesome. The glass frog is no bigger than a thumbnail, and it’s the make that sits and guards the eggs. It’s so small that it’s prey for just about anything. When the wasp comes to hunt for frog eggs, this tiny father does some pretty cool things to protect them. And the little hatchlings have their own defenses too. A really interesting and colorful piece of footage about one of the smaller creatures on our planet. Narrated by Sir David Attenborough only adds to the story of this tiny frog.

🐝 On top of the wasp nests hanging from light sockets and in the corners of the ceilings, I didn’t realize until later that there was a massive feral honeybee hive inside the walls of the upstairs bedroom. That explained all the buzzing. I was hoping for a few fun treasures in the attic, but it was clean as a whistle. The same day this video was shot, I also filmed an interview with WBTV News on the front porch of this house. The abandonment made the perfect backdrop.

Did you know there’s a fish with a completely transparent head, and its eyes are glowing green tubes that roll around inside it? The barreleye fish lives in the deep ocean, where it usually points those eyes straight upward to spot prey silhouetted above it, then rotates them forward when it moves in for the kill. The two dark spots on the front of its face are not even its eyes. They’re its nostrils. So yes, somewhere in the Pacific, a tiny alien periscope is casually swimming around like this is normal.

It is that time of year when hornbills nest in the Anamalai Hills of Tamil Nadu, and the valleys reverberate with their deep calls and the powerful whoosh of their wings, sounding like a helicopter in flight. They are truly the icons of this landscape. It was truly magical for me to capture a Great Hornbill mother feeding her chick, an indication that the chick is nearing fledging and is almost ready to leave the nest. During nesting, the female seals herself inside a tree cavity, remaining there through incubation and early chick development, completely dependent on the male for food. As the chick grows the female eventually breaks out of the sealed nest. From this stage onward, both parents take part in feeding, signaling that the chick is in its final phase of growth before its first flight. While on patrol, the rangers discovered a beautiful golden wildebeest stuck in the mud beside the road. It likely slipped on the wet ground, and one of its horns became buried deep in the mud, leaving it unable to stand up. ✨ Fortunately, it was rescued just in time before a group of hyenas waiting on the other side had a chance to attack. Moments like this remind us that wildlife sometimes depends on human care and intervention. 💖

The MK1 Scirocco was styled by Giugiaro and launched six months before the Golf it shared its platform with. For the MK2 in 1981, VW brought design in-house under Herbert Schäfer - Giugiaro submitted a proposal and it was rejected. The result was a longer, lower, more aerodynamic coupe that was 10% more slippery through the air than its predecessor, assembled by Karmann in Osnabrück throughout its eleven-year production run. The range ran from a 1.3L base model all the way to the GTX 16V - which used the same 1.8L 139 HP 16-valve engine as the MK2 Golf GTI. A coupe that shared its running gear with one of the most famous hot hatches in history, in a body that the Golf GTI never had. Produced until 1992. Never directly replaced really. This Scirocco in the video is a GT.

A wild calf would learn it from the older females in her herd, but Kaikai is an orphan, so she's learning it from her Keepers and the other orphans in our care. She's determined that she's not the only one to get muddy either – a flick of the ear gets the Keeper filming this sprayed with mud! Kaikai just turned one and has years of bottles, Keepers and bush school ahead before she's ready for a wild herd of her own. Adopting Kaikai helps fund that journey:
