I gave Claude Fable 5 just $100 to test the simplest arbitrage. Left my laptop opened for 24 hours. Session PnL: clean $1,571.66 On Polymarket, YES + NO Aren't there thousands of arbitrage bots already? Absolutely. You're not competing against people. You're competing against infrastructure. The biggest improvement wasn't a new strategy. It was rebuilding the entire execution pipeline. The bot runs on a VPS close to the APIs it talks to instead of my local machine. It keeps persistent connections open instead of reconnecting every request. Market metadata is cached in memory so it only refreshes live prices. Orders are prepared before the opportunity exists. When YES + NO finally drops below $1, there's almost nothing left to calculate. It checks liquidity, order book and submits both legs immediately. Will that beat firms spending millions on low-latency infrastructure? Probably not. It doesn't have to. There are hundreds of active prediction markets, constant volatility and plenty of opportunities that last long enough for a well-engineered bot to compete. That's probably the biggest thing Claude Fable 5 changed for me. I stopped asking it to build me a trading bot and started asking where am I wasting milliseconds. There's a way to win on Polymarket no matter who wins. Buy YES in one place, NO in another. If they don't add up to a dollar, you locked a profit. Before the event even happens. Here's how the arbitrage actually works and how to master it: This is the closest thing to free money on Polymarket. Every market has a YES and a NO. One of them MUST resolve to $1. The other goes to zero. So in theory, YES + NO should always cost exactly $1. But in thin or messy markets, they don't. Sometimes you can buy: > YES at 0.48 > NO at 0.49 > total cost: 0.97 This guy does it every day: [ He also uploaded a full guide on how to build the same bot. One side pays you $1 at resolution no matter what. He spends 97 cents to guarantee a dollar. That 3 cents is locked, risk-free. There's also the cross-market version. The same event sometimes has two separate markets at different prices. Buy the cheap YES in one, the cheap NO in the other, and pocket the gap. Sounds easy, right? But here's the honest part: These gaps close in about 2.7 seconds now. By the time you click by hand, a bot already took it. So the manual version only really survives in low-liquidity markets the bots ignore. The fast version? That lives in compiled code with a VPS sitting next to the exchange. Just this: Only open a trade when YES + NO < $1. I put $100 into the account and let it run. 2 hours: +$78.40 5 hours: +$479 Current balance: $1,791.30 in just 24 hours. Total Claude usage: roughly 7.5M tokens. But here's the part I find interesting: The bot doesn't care if Bitcoin goes up or down. It cares when the market prices both outcomes incorrectly. A BTC Up/Down market has two contracts: YES or NO At settlement, exactly one pays $1. The other pays $0. So buying both should cost $1. But during fast market moves, the two orderbooks can temporarily drift apart. For example: YES = $0.48, NO = $0.49 Combined = $0.97 The bot buys both. You're paying 97 cents for a position that settles to $1. That's a 3-cent gross spread without needing to predict BTC direction. And this isn't some complicated quant strategy. It's basic arbitrage.
