This video is evidence that when nature strikes, no human structure can withstand its force. All nations and states need to take a closer look at development across the Himalayan region. My prayers for everyone affected in Nepal and Tibet. #Nepal

Devastating. You can feel the 💔 in their voices as they watch their source of income vanish right before their eyes and the possiblity of witnessing a horrific outcome from the loss of lives downstream. We’re nvere in control. We’re merely guests on this planet

Terrifying scenes from Gorkha, Nepal! 🇳🇵 The Budhi Gandaki River surged with such force that the Soti Khola bridge near Arughat was swept away today. 😱 When a river turns this powerful, even solid infrastructure can stand no chance. Prayers for everyone affected. 🙌🏼

This is seriously scary. CCTV footage from Gyirong Port in Tibet, China, directly opposite Nepal’s Rasuwa district. This flash flood hit here first and later caused massive havoc in Nepal. Can’t even imagine someone surviving this. Prayers for everyone affected. 🙏

#WATCH | Kathmandu, Nepal: On Nepal's reported climate-related compensation demand, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Nepal, Shisir Khanal, says, "Neither I nor anyone in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or Government of Nepal has claimed or asked for compensation from India or any other country, including China or the United States. Our call has been for the global community to look at this disaster from the perspective of climate change and the impact it's having in Nepal. I've also mentioned that all three countries - China, India, and Nepal face and share similar environmental ecosystems. We are all impacted by climate change in the Himalayas as well. Our call is for all these three countries to come together to be better prepared, but also for the global community to support and, particularly, to look at this disaster not just as a one-time event or to look at this as one-time support, but to think about the impact rising temperatures and climate change are having on communities across the world. It is our call for the global community to come together and support smaller nations like Nepal..."

Devastating scenes from Gyirong, Tibet, and neighbouring Nepal after a catastrophic disaster struck this morning. Communities are facing unimaginable loss as homes and livelihoods are swept away. Tibet’s fragile environment has already been subjected to rampant mining, dam construction and widespread environmental destruction by China, putting ecosystems and communities at greater risk. Our hearts are heavy for all those caught in this tragedy. May every life affected find safety, strength and hope. #WATCH | On flood situation in Nepal, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar tweets, "Nature's fury and disaster has taken over Nepal at this hour. It has been such a wonderful place for people to visit. And many went as a pilgrim to Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. And many of them lost their lives. In this very difficult time, let's all show our solidarity with the people of Nepal and the affected families and the government of Nepal. Let's pray to Almighty God to give strength to all the victims who lost their near and dear ones. Let's hope that the country will limp back to normalcy very soon and let's all work towards saving the environment, especially in the Himalayan region. Om Shanti." China calls it “development.” But when Beijing turns Tibet into a laboratory for dams, tunnels, railways, roads and mega infrastructure, we have to ask: development for whom, and at what cost? The proposed Kyirong–Kathmandu route has already seen 75 drilling sites completed and 90% of soil testing done. Across Tibet, at least 193 hydropower dams have been built or planned since 2000, with the real number potentially exceeding 300. The Lhasa–Nyingchi railway cuts through 47 tunnels and more than 120 bridges across some of the most fragile and geologically complex terrain on Earth. The CCP keeps pushing deeper into Tibet with little meaningful public scrutiny, while Tibetans have virtually no say over what happens to their land, mountains and rivers. This is not just about one flood. It is about the consequences of transforming an entire Himalayan ecosystem at unprecedented scale. When Beijing treats Tibet as a construction zone, who bears the risk? Tibetans do. The Himalayan environment does. And millions downstream in Nepal, India, Bhutan and Bangladesh do. #Tibet #FreeTibet #CCP #China #TibetEnvironment #SaveTibet #Himalayas #ClimateJustice #WaterSecurity #Nepal #India #Bhutan #Bangladesh #TibetanRights #HumanRights #EnvironmentalJustice #StopCCP #TibetWillBeFree

🇳🇵💔 Seeing nature unleash such fury in Nepal is truly heartbreaking. The sudden floods, powerful currents, mud, debris, and landslides gave people barely any time to react. 🌊⛰️🚨 Roads and communities have been affected in many areas, while rescue and relief teams are doing their best to reach those in need. In such difficult times, we must stand with the people of Nepal and extend whatever help we can. 🙏🇳🇵 May God protect everyone and give the affected families strength to overcome this crisis. ❤️🤝 #Nepal #NepalDisaster #NepalFlood #FlashFlood #NepalTragedy #Rescue #NaturalDisaster #Himalayas #PrayForNepal
