Police Launch Manhunt After Assault Caught on Camera in Ennerdale JOHANNESBURG – Police have launched a manhunt for suspects captured on video assaulting a man in front of a bravr police officer in Ennerdale, south of Johannesburg. According to authorities, a Captain, who is attached to the Rapid Rail Police in Germiston, was off duty and on his way home when he witnessed the attack. Acting on instinct, he intervened and managed to shield the victim from further harm. Investigations are under way to identify and apprehend the suspects. Police have urged anyone with information on the identity of the suspects to come forward or call the police 08600 10111.

Troops neutralise three suspected armed robbers in Kaduna By Zagazola Makama Troops of Operation Lafiyan Jama’a have neutralised three suspected armed robbers during an operation to recover weapons in Kaduna State. Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama on Wednesday that the incident occurred at about 6:30 p.m. on Monday during a follow-up operation based on the confession of arrested suspects. According to the sources, the three suspects had earlier been arrested in connection with a series of armed robbery attacks and were assisting troops in investigations. During interrogation, the suspects reportedly confessed to possessing arms and ammunition hidden in a forested location and offered to lead troops to the hideout. However, while en route to the location, the suspects allegedly attempted to escape by attacking a soldier and trying to snatch his weapon. Troops responded immediately, neutralising all three suspects in the process. “The quick response of the troops averted a potential escape and ensured the safety of the escorting team,” the source added. He is wanted in multiple cases of murders , attempt to murder, UAPA, Arms Act and Narcotic offences etc. This is the first-ever extradition secured by Punjab Police from a European country, marking a significant milestone in our fight against organised crime. The success of Operation Eastern Reach, a six-month intelligence-led international manhunt, was made possible through sustained surveillance and close coordination of AGTF Punjab & OFTEC Punjab with central agencies and international partners. I commend Anti Gangster Task Force (#AGTF) Punjab & Overseas Fugitive Tracking and Extradition Cell (#OFTEC) Punjab for their relentless efforts. We thank the Moldovan authorities, Azerbaijan Authorities, IPCU-CBI, Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of External Affairs and all other central agencies as part of this international cooperation.
