This video shows just how close the man whose body has been found in hunt for Dr Mosley was to the safety of the Agia Marina beach resort on the Greek Island if of Symi. Body found at 10.30am five days after Dr Mosley disappeared.

I think this is a prime example of an occasion when Twitter experts should hold their counsel.

Bless him. It seems like he took the wrong route over the top, ended up wrong side of the fence, exhausted and unable to access the beach. I heard he had transient global amnesia after swimming in 2019 and wonder if something similar happened and he got disorientated. Unbearable

None of this makes sense why he’d go out on such a long walk when a heat warning had been issued. So desperately sad.

We don’t know what happened yet, it could be a heart attack, stroke, fall with a head injury, based on the temperature it could even have been heat stroke. If you are alone 5 yards or 5 miles make no difference if its any of those.

So sad that he was so close. Greek heat is relentless, and it’s unusually hot at the moment. What a tragedy. Condolences to his family 🙏🖤🙏

Not so hard to get past that fence though. He must have thought he'd made it, maybe sat down for a rest before doing that very last bit, and succumbed to the heat.

Symi is one of the hottest, driest places I’ve been. There’s very little if any shade. It’s incredible almost no one is wearing a hat.
