Metal Skin Panic MADOX-01, my first anime I’ve ever owned. I bought a bootleg copy from a Japanese video shop. For about 20 dollars. No subs. Before Japanime was ever sold officially. Robotech was still on TV. The following year Akira (1988) would introduce Anime to the mainstream audience in art house theatres and show the world what superior Japanese animation could do.

Animation from 80's early 90's was way better than pretty much anything we get today. What happened?
