@pr0ud_americans My niece has worn hearing aids since she 4 years old. Last year she got a Cochlear implant and the things she can hear now are amazing.

As the mother of a once deaf, now hearing impaired, son, This is exactly what it is like and I cry tears of joy everytime I see these vids and remember the day my son heard for the very first time!

That aint always how it goes. Sometimes the kids are terrified by the new stimulus. Sometimes getting them to use the cochlears is a real fight because, near as I can tell, it's PAINFUL.

I remember what it was like to get my hearing back after losing it. can't imagine hearing for the first time 🥹💗💞💝
