One thing the best managers seem to do really well is bring fresh energy into their environment, or recognize when it's time to refresh it. Manchester City this season is a great example. Pep Guardiola towards the end of last season openly admitted he's feeling tired, but if you look at his staff recruitment this summer, he's clearly brought in new energy that's now helping to drive training forward.
