So, I've been secretly making a Factorio-like game for about a year now. I was planning to release it maybe a few months ago, ahead of the big Factorio update. But now that's in a few weeks, and my game's not quite ready. What should I do? Any gamedev folks have advice?

🦌 i’ve been like really preparing this. I am really preparing hard for this mixtape. 🦌 i’ll continue to work on my music, and maybe work at a mixtape. 🦌 I'm working hard on that mixtape. It's hard to give spoilers because nothing has been decided yet. This Town was released 10 years ago today. it was the first song i released out on my own and it’s so special to me for many reasons. when i think back i remember a lot of big pop songs with big productions , around at that time. i feel This Town stood out as it was just one voice and an acoustic guitar. after that, you guys all over the world really connected to it and it took on a life of its own. to reach over a billion streams and see you all singing it back to me all these years later , is absolutely unbelievable . i’ll never really be able to explain how grateful i am for all of this and for your support. a few words on stage , a short caption is not enough words to explain how thankful i am. i’m working on a few special things to celebrate that will be coming very soon. it was my song and now it’s ours happy 10 years of this town ❤️

I think I’m close to a burn out. For the last few weeks it feels like I haven’t been able to think. Let alone do deep work. My brain just draws a blank. Super frustrating. Even thinking what tiles I should put into our new house feels like too much already. The first few weeks I tried to force myself to work anyway. Obviously made it even worse. So, this week I decided I’m just going to take a break. Go on hikes, drive my bike, read books and play video games. I had this before and eventually it would go away. Made me realise though that I should put guards into place for the next time. Building a team is part of this. Focus on what I like to do and get help with all other tasks. Implement some load balancing. Fingers crossed it goes away soon 🤞 /endtransparency
