This weekend's culinary experiment were air fried rice paper wrapped cheese burgers. Cooked 80g of lean ground beef, and wrapped in egg brushed rice paper with topping of your choice. Air fried at 400F for about 8 min to crisp. These were good, but gave me ideas for next week!

This tastes so good, especially with the crunchy top! I meant it to be a dip but it's good enough to eat with a fork, which I did. Boursin Baked Crab Dip I cup lump crab 2 tbs Boursin cheese 1 tbs sour cream 2 tbs butter 1 tbs parm cheese 1/2 cup pork panko (not fine) A sprinkle of Old Bay Combine seasoning, Boursin cheese and sour cream and place in one or two ramekins. If a one ramekin air fry this part for 5 minutes at 375 and then add the topping (melted butter, crumbs and parm cheese) and air fry to 8-10 minutes. You can skip the 5-minute air frying stage if you use 2 ramekins. Just add the topping and air fry for about 10 minutes. I've done both and both turn out great.

Hey, you 🫵🏿🫵🏿 When making Nigerian fried rice, make sure to FRY YOUR RICE with onions, veg oil and unsalted butter (on low heat for about 3-5 mins) before boiling with chicken or turkey stock. Stock not water 🌚 WASH YOUR RICE MULTIPLE TIMES .. AT LEAST 5 TIMES (the plan is to get as much starch out of the rice as possible .. this is to avoid soggy rice). For seasoning, I only use maggi powder (because my stock is well seasoned so make sure yours is too). If you want that yellow / greenish colour, add curry and turmeric powder. Make sure to FRY your veggies. Fry with unsalted butter and vegetable oil. If you’re using shrimp / prawns .. fry, remove and set aside. Do not fry it with your veggies otherwise it’ll become rubbery and hard. Add once rice is done. If you’re adding liver, boil and fry in a separate pan before adding it to your veggies. You can use fresh or frozen veggies (if you’re using frozen, make sure to defrost it first). In my opinion, less is more with fried rice, don’t over complicate it with veggies. Once again, Setara golden basmati rice is your guy (any golden sella basmati rice will do)

I honestly didn’t have high hopes for these… but they ended up being one of my favorite recipes so far. 😂 If you’re getting tired of chicken, TRY THESE. 🧀 Chicken Fries • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese • 2 eggs • About 1 tsp salt (measure with your heart 😆) • Garlic powder • Onion powder (Season however YOU like!) Mix everything together, shape into fries on parchment paper, then: 🔥 Air Fryer: 400° for about 15 minutes 🔥 Oven: 400° for about 20 minutes They’re crispy on the outside, cheesy on the inside, and perfect dipped in ranch, cottage cheese, or your favorite low-carb sauce. Beef is getting expensive, so I’ve been looking for ways to make chicken taste like something I actually WANT to eat… and these absolutely delivered. Save this recipe because you’ll definitely make it again.

Back when I was a kid the McDonald’s apple pies were fried and served at a scorching temperature. They brought them back for a limited time so I recused to try it. It does taste like what I remember. The outside is fried crispy, laden with little air bubbles under the pasty crust with a nice mildly chunky apple filling. So the consensus is that they are good. However I didn’t look at the nutrition label I have a feeling these are bad for me but I wanted to have one for nostalgic reasons. Anyone else grow up eating these? You gotta try it, it will take you back to the 80’s, a time where most of us were more care free and we didn’t care about calories.

Rice & Sand for dinner! How did we get to this very point??? 🙆🏾‍♂️🙆🏾‍♂️🙆🏾‍♂️ Nigerian children were filmed packing sand mixed with raw rice into plastic bags. Not for play. Not for art. For food. An accident spilled bags of rice by the roadside, and starving, malnourished children rushed in not to rescue survival. This is a policy outcome. No child chooses sand over rice unless hunger has already crushed dignity. No society watches this and still pretends its leaders are doing their jobs. This is what happens when corruption eats first, inflation eats next, and children eat last. A country that can afford private jets for politicians but produces children scooping sand with rice has failed not economically, not politically, but morally.

Takumi and mio just share the story 💖💙 Mio : In the end, we had that gyoza party, didnt we? Takumi : Yes. That was such a fun memory. We even cooked rice Mio: Right! With a rice cooker Takumi: We brought rice cooker and kept making fresh rice. Of course, we ate plenty of bread (anpan) too. But I ended up eating so many rice balls (onigiri) Mio: Yeah, you did. Takumi: And that's when I realized something. I discovered that rice balls are actually my favorite food. I found that out while filming Anpan Q: Anpan (bread) or Onigiri (riceballs) Takumi: If you asked me whether i'm more of a bread or a rice ball person, at this point i'd say rice balls. Kind of ironic, right? Since the drama's called Anpan. So, which one are you then? Mio: Hmm...honestly rice balls too. The team at WCK’s Field Kitchen in Mayotte wrapped up production last week after preparing more than 580,000 hot meals for communities impacted by Cyclone Chido. With the support of these local chefs and community leaders, we were able to focus our efforts on providing traditional dishes that brought comfort to families in need. Beyond the food cooked at our kitchen, we also worked with restaurant partners to serve a total of 4 million meals. We are so proud of this staff, many of whom were directly affected by the storm, and their dedication to showing up every day to support their neighbors. #ChefsForMayotte

Can We Flush Tissue Paper or Napkins in Toilets? The recent Air India toilet clogging incident has brought us international embarrassment. A Delhi-bound Air India flight had to return to Chicago after two hours because 8 out of 12 toilets got blocked. This happened because some passengers flushed plastic bags, sanitary napkins, and other non-disposable items into the toilet. In India, we are more accustomed to using water for cleaning, unlike in Western countries where toilet paper is commonly used due to the cold climate. Even though we now use Western-style toilets, many of us still prefer washing with water; either with a bucket or a faucet. One key difference between Indian and Western toilets is that Western-style toilets are meant to remain dry. Wet toilet seats are considered unhygienic and unpleasant, especially in Western cultures. Unfortunately, some men urinate without lifting the seat, making matters worse. With changing habits, people have started using toilet paper to dry themselves after washing. However, many are unsure about how to dispose of it properly. Some throw it in the waste bin, which is unpleasant for the next user and inconvenient for the person who cleans the toilet. The correct way to dispose of toilet paper is by flushing it, as it is designed to dissolve in water within 20-30 seconds. However, not everyone knows the difference between toilet paper and tissue paper, paper napkins, or wet wipes. These items, along with sanitary napkins, should never be flushed. Unlike toilet paper, they do not dissolve easily and can clog the drainage system. Unfortunately, some passengers on the Air India flight made this mistake, leading to a major disruption. Hair day and coconut rice When my hairstylist Combsbytolani comes over for a home service, she's not leaving with just a fresh install... she's leaving with a full stomach too. Today's menu was rich coconut rice and juicy air-fried turkey because feeding people is simply my love language. Fresh hair, good food, plenty of laughs... safe to say we both left happy. The person in the video is Aayushi Sharma. She works with Adda 247, a google and Infoedge funded company. In this video, she tells students to come on 27th Feb at 4 AM to her class and she will leak the paper. I know it is her experience that makes her guess the paper. We used to call it sample/model paper in our times. However, the way it is being presented of ‘paper out’ and ‘paper leak’ is dangerous. Many vulnerable students will give up their normal preparation and start relying only on such leaks. Short cuts and zero learning for click baits and audience share are dangerous. Just last week, a channel of Shobhit Nirvaan ‘leaked’ the English paper at 4 AM. However, in the exam, the paper was completely different. A similar thing happened for physics paper too. Students were upset and started trolling the English teacher so much that the channel sent her into hiding. She will be hiding, but how about the students who will now fail in the exam? Can they hide from the result? When you say ‘I set the paper’ or ‘ I will leak the paper at 4 AM’, you are making the student take a chance based on your guesses. You may be correct in 5 of the 6 subjects but all it takes is one exam to fail you. One cannot be correct every time! Do these teachers have the right to decide the fate of the student with such mercenary tactics? They may be doing a good job of teaching but do we allow them to mislead, misinform and take a risk on students results? This is not just about awareness. It’s a challenge to the Ministry of Education CBSE HQ PMO India Narendra Modi . Clamp down on this industry before it destroys more young lives. If you care about education, share this. Why do this in the face of very widespread criticism? Why do this in the face of very widespread criticism? Secretary Brooke Rollins: "The president made the decision that, for a short 90 days, there's a lot of ground beef -- this is just ground beef -- there's a lot of ground beef that's sitting in other countries that would potentially help serve Americans, especially lower-income Americans who really lean into -- 'lean into' -- the lean ground beef.
