I have two speed queens. They are worth it.

I remember a while back I had posted something about new washers and everyone was recommending this. It was the first I had ever heard about it

They were mainly known for industrial sized cleaning as they srr used in Landromats and institutional situations like hospitals and prisons and stuff which require gigantic reliable washing machines and dryers. Their home offerings provide that same level of reliability and power.

Dude, I’m about to buy the washer and dryer. I’m so sick of the stench of these front load “efficiency” bullshit machines.

After working on my LG washer 37 times I said fuck it and went with the Speed Queen washer and dryer. Simple, quiet and just pure workhorses. Well worth every penny.

Had mine for 20 years. Still runs like a champ

Awesome!

Didn't get a speed queen, but I did get rid of my new computerized maytag for a 1989 kenmore. There's not even an l. e. d. light to be found on that thing. It just washes, and it actually uses water. It's like I forgot what clean clothes felt like.

No way! It's this real? You can open the lid???

damn you can open the lid and see what's happening

If it plays stupid songs when it's done imma stick a grenade in it.

Need this My washer sounds like helicopter starting up

Yes we have one it is great. Just don’t use the “Normal/Eco” cycle. It’s garbage and required by the government. That mode uses cold water regardless of your temperature setting, and for the rinse cycle it briefly squirts some water onto the clothes during the spin cycle.

My washer does 2 of my comforters at a time 🤔🤔

Damn that’s a big washer

@Kobie3408 Must be twin comforters! Ha

@washghost1 No they're not twin comforters

That is the super-duper "make your morning bagel" version - I suggest the TC5 - a simple washer with a mechanical transmission. Clothes will never be cleaner - just don't overload - its pretty aggressive! I have one - have had it for about 12 years! @speedqueen

Appliance tech here, the washers are the real deal. Dryers dont get a basic whirlpool dryer with a traditional timer. The dryers arent worth the money.

They’re awesome. We got one last year. Excellent investment. Fast, quiet, cleans exceptionally.

We looked at them but ultimately didn’t go for it. Probably should have. Also that soap for some reason smells like cat pee to me.

I never used that soap before

I'll stick to these 2 old work horses...
Satin matte finish is elite

I got my washer and dryer for free from my church. It’s older but works perfectly

My wife and I did last year. So far it’s been awesome.

Nice!! Where did you buy them from?

We have a local authorized dealer who sells them. Small mom and pop shop, but nice. It was nice to get a great product and to support a local business, especially with how expensive they are. We only got a washer for now. Once the dryer goes I’ll get one of there’s.

@washghost1 And you didn't tell us how much you paid - why?

@washghost1 Because I don’t remember off the top of my head and I’m not google.

I got Speed Queen after my other ones died. They are a beast!

I do not like central agitators. Have ruined many clothes

Parents used to own a laundry mat. Speed queens everywhere. They are so reliable

Ive had a speed queen w&d for 20+ years. I have only ever had to replace 1 belt on the washer. They are bullet proof, and worth every penny!

So it’s a refurbished 1990s washer!?

I have them. Hate them. You absolutely cannot use fabric softener, it gets all gunked up. Ridiculous. There is nothing special about them. Also have new GE Profile front loader. It’s amazing. Has a venting system, when you get your clothes out, close the door, it gets all the moisture out of the inside. Never smells.

Speed Queen machines are the goat of machines. it does come with its higher price tag though but worth it.

Nope! I go to the second hand appliance store. My latest washer is going on ten years!

They are expensive and they are worth it. It is commercial quality for a residence. Mine does a great job and washes faster. The spin is also incredible and ends up needing less drying time.

Made by Alliance Laundry. Great company. They makes machines for Laundromats. Can’t go wrong. Superior quality.

Have a Speed Queen dryer. Will never by another brand again...

I bought the Maytag commercial washer a few years ago. The agitation action is superior, pulling the clothes under the water, and circulating. It allows water level control too. I love it.

I have a Maytag now and it’s crazy old. Still going strong and only had to replace a fuse on it

Just got my Speed Queen washer last year. Worth every penny.

I have had a set for about a decade now. Man they have went up in price a lot since I bought mine.

You will not regret it. We bought a huebsh (outside of the US Speed Queen is huebsch) and we've had it 10 years with no issues. We had replaced 3 fancy washers within 6 years. The last time I had a repair man out to fix the last washer, he recommended this brand... The repairs we were facing cost as much as a new washer. He said, it has no computerized parts and it will likely not break down for years and if it does it'll be a $50 repair not a $500 one. He was right - that man had integrity...

Already have them! Best ever! 🇺🇸🦅🤙🏼
