🚨🚨SECRETARY GENERAL SERVICE DELIVERY ALERT IN CITY OF JOHANNESBURG Today we addressed the issue of the burst water pipes in Homestead Road, Bryanston in the City of Johannesburg. Upon receiving complaints the city acted to switch of the flow of water as not to waste any of the drinking water. The reason for this, is that the municipal workers are currently striking thus the slow maintenance. I have come personally to make sure that the issue is fixed and that chance takers do not distort this and use it as a political scoring point. We must address the issues affecting our municipalities and as the Secretary General I have committed myself to be on the frontlines in addressing issues. I have also requested that the city communicates speedily and effectively to residents affected by this and they have assured me it is being addressed.

Taxpayers pay for drug paraphernalia (needles/pipes) handed out by city-contracted NGOs while also paying the fire department to respond to drug ODs on the same corner. Los Angeles city and county are exacerbating the homeless/drug crisis with its failed “harm reduction” policies.

The Mayor continues to prioritize special interest groups over the blue-collar, hardworking families of this City. This isn’t a social studies project on civics, although our Mayor leads us to believe it is. This budget and the major impacts it has and will continue to have for years are real-life issues that affect not just the communities in my ward but the entire City. I commend my colleagues, those who aren’t beholden to the Mayor and his special interest groups, who took the time to put aside differences for the good of the City and voted NO on this budget. Our coalition of common-sense leaders wasn’t about "what’s in it for my community," but rather, "what’s in the best interest of the taxpayers of the City of Chicago?" The 2025 Budget vote will surely have lasting consequences. I want residents of the 15th Ward and the City of Chicago to know that I fought and will continue to fight for what is in your best interest, the taxpayer!

Local Resident Tyler Terril Filmed this and uploaded to Facebook as frustration grows due to lack of coverage on the matter. “Welcome to N Virginia ave Okc. Every day it grows bigger and the city has to come once a week to pick up the trash,needles and crack pipes. Open drug use all day long. nudity/prostitution all day long, constant fighting sometimes with sticks or machetes, people sleeping in the road or just sitting in the middle of the lane. Sometimes they are just pooping on the sidewalk. I don’t know why this isn’t being covered in the news. Even the murders barely get any coverage”

Despite the City of Tshwane’s newly implemented city cleansing levy being declared illegal by the courts, Tshwane has now expanded its reach by billing sectional title property owners across the city for city cleansing, even when they are utilizing the city’s waste removal services and paying for this service on their body corporate’s account. Residents of sectional title properties’ September bills include an amount of R223.53 for waste management and R447.06 for miscellaneous charges for city cleansing. All residents of sectional title properties who have received this levy on their bills must officially dispute this charge with the city. DA councillors are making an inventory of complexes with a waste management account from the city where residents are also being billed a city cleansing levy. We will submit these particulars to the city manager and the chief financial officer for the double billing to be reversed.

The City of Omaha has made the decision to continue allowing illicit tent encampments on public property within city limits. While there are numerous differing opinions on this policy, DCSO will not interfere in its implementation. The safety and well-being of Douglas County residents remains our top priority. The Community Action Team stands ready to assist if encampments continue to go unaddressed after being reported to the city and they present a risk to public safety.

WATCH | Thank you for exposing the rot in Harare City Council. I am a stand owner whose house was demolished. Please share this anonymously. What angers us the most is that they did not demolish their employees’ houses. Attached is a video showing the houses of Council officials that are still standing. We also have a radio recording of the Director of Housing, Mr Nyabeza, acknowledging our stands and clarifying the army cantonment issue. They used our pipes for water and sewer connections and said they would return them. We have a stamped letter that we sent to Council asking for our pipes to be returned. We had to buy new pipes for a second time. Yet, despite all this, they still call us illegal.
