This would never be acceptable today, he’d probably get fired and people would boycott the show. Can we return to when jokes weren’t so offensive?

Peter Marshall: "Paul, any good sailor knows that when a man falls off a ship you yell 'Man overboard!' What should you shout if a woman falls overboard?" Paul Lynde: "Full speed ahead!"

I miss the days when people weren't so sensitive and actually had a sense of humor.

One of the greatest shows ever. I'm not sure it'd work at all anymore. "Celebrities" are so annoying and unlikable anymore; and to your point, none are capable of repartee like this anymore.

It's not that the jokes weren't offensive, it's that we didn't take offense to everything in those days.

It helps that he's also one of the sweetest people ever. I watched the reruns back when we had cable. Guy was hilarious.

So funny!

It was funny. She laughed. Nobody died. 10/10.

Those were the best of times. Then the Democrats ruined everything.

You mean back in the day when we could laugh at ourselves and others?

Omg he'd get sued. The network would get sued. They'd be burning cities down. Blocking freeways. Basically, what they're doing now for made-up sht. 🤣
