This would not have had the same impact watching it for the first time on Netflix.

some movies genuinely have to be experienced in a theater man. need that to continue for future generations

This scene in a sold out IMAX theater is genuinely one of the best moviegoing experiences I’ve ever had. I don’t have Dolby Atmos surround sound at my house. Sound design matters!

My first viewing was 70MM IMAX LOL thank god

I got this alert on my watch during the trinity test sequence, would not have happened if I was at home and distracted

I can't imagine this scene not being in cinemas. Christopher literally transported us into the soul and brain of a person with the help of music, direction, and good editing. Unique experience
this is just one of those scenes you HAD to watch in IMAX. fucking heavenly!

Me watching this in IMAX: speechless, heart rate through the roof, in awe, amazed, captivated Me if this released on Netflix: “oh, that was cool”

forever grateful my girlfriend gifted me the 4k steelbook for my birthday so i can still watch it properly at home without the weird streaming service quality

People would have had to listen to this on their tv speakers

The only way to get that feeling at home is to see it on the big screen first. Then when you watch it at home it brings you back. This Netflix CEO is retarded

Movie was incredible in IMAX. 💯 wouldn’t have been remotely the same at home.

True, but pausing in the middle of this is 3hr epic to piss would have also been great. 😅

maybe it would have been less underwhelming on the small screen… great movie, but the explosion kinda sucked. Should have CGIed it, tbh.

i watched this in my non imax cinema and the boom were booming, let alone the imax one. . something a phone screen or even a MacBook won't compete

Why do you losers need other people to we your reactions? It’s all performative y’all are fucking weird. Social media ruins your brains. I’d much rather watch new movies comfortably at home without idiots screaming and clapping about every little thing 🤗

Yikes. so smol

Well im currently watching this for the first time as a twitter post.

Ngl, saw on IMAX and was completely underwhelmed by this scene in particular. The explosion as practical was meh for me because you could tell it was just a movie explosion that seemed small in comparison to rl. The Beirut port explosion looked more nuke than this.

Thats how I watched it.. Peacock actually, I think

Seeing this on imax was the best movie watching experience I’ve ever had in my life

maybe for u, but its deadass not that deep

Why? Do you not have an OLED TV? That’s actually better quality than the theater.

lol first time seeing it just now on my phone. Meh

they love insulting our intelligence because they think we are devoid of it

maybe, someone who might've bought it and watched it at home could've loved it just as much 🤷🏻♂️

So streaming is only good for anything other than first viewing? What part of the story telling and acting gets lost between cinematic and streaming viewing?

Doesn't even look like a nuke explosion. So tired of the fawning over Christopher Nolan Hollywood slop.

All humanity have been watching, for many generations, Kurosawa and Hitchcock films in a screen televisions and still are the best movies ever made BY FAR.

buy big tvs and cinemas in your houses

Nor this

this scene rocked the shit out of my seat at the theater it was amazing

People don’t have the sound or screen capabilities of an IMAX theater. Home screens are minimal, the two are not the same. And people love to escape their homes and venture out to the movies. I myself have gone 120 times this year. Streaming is just white noise.

I'd feel like I'm watching leftovers in the microwave

I remember watching this in the cinema, it was incredible. Just watching it here on my iPhone made my heart stop.

The shockwave after...peak cinema
