International migration of health workers continues to accelerate, especially from those countries furthest behind on universal health coverage and health security. Earlier this week, World Health Organization (WHO) convened the Expert Advisory Group of the Global Code of Practice on the International Recruitment of Health Personnel to discuss how Member States, private recruiters and non-State actors can shift from competition for health and care workers to collaboration.

300 million people died of smallpox until in 1977 it was erased from the planet due to the multilateral effort lead by the World Health Organization (WHO). Glad to celebrate in Geneva #WHO75 and the work of World Health Organization (WHO) protecting and promoting the human right to health.
