FACT CHECK: There is no Kijabe Dam and there never has been one. Reports being circulated by mainstream media about a dam in Kijabe are totally inaccurate and misleading. The tragedy in Old Kijabe Town is not linked to a dam. A blocked tunnel under the old railway lines created a lake which eventually broke after days of build-up. You can see the aftermath in the videos. The incident was not caused by a dam burst but rather by the blockage of the railway tunnel, leading to the buildup of water that eventually broke through.

Inaugurated the first of its kind Rock Check Dam on River Sindhu in Leh, under the ambitious “Sindhu Jal Samriddhi Abhiyan”, conceived as a sustainable, cost-effective solution for water and agricultural sustainability in Ladakh. Unlike the traditional concrete check dams, this innovative Rock Check Dam is semi-permanent barrier, built by interlocking big rocks, collected from the riverbed. This slows down the flow of the river and creates a huge water pondage area, to be used by farmers for agricultural purposes. Dimensions & Scale: •Location: Upshi, Ladakh Altitude: 11,400 ft •Length of the check dam – 200 feet •Base Width – 30 feet •Top deck width – 15 feet •Height – 5 feet •Rocks used – 180 MT (approx) •Pondage area – Approx 500 meters upstream •Water Storage Capacity – 40 million litres (approx) •Construction time – 7 days •Construction cost – Rs 10 lakh The Rock check dam has been designed to withhold water pressure and prevent it from getting washed away when the water level in the river increases during summer months. There are two 30 foot tall bronze angelic statues known as "The Winged Figures of the Republic" at the Hoover Dam, and it is apparently one of the luckiest places on Earth where visitors can make wishes come true and experience good fortune. Water is energy and contains memory and a powerful energy conduit. I think the Hoover Dam is a giant energy harvesting portal. My question is, are angels connected to the dam and the pyramid underneath? What really happened here, and is it a lucky place because of the presence of the Fallen Angels from the Bible? Could the dark abyss they were banished to for all eternity be connected to this dam? What if the Norweigen-born immigrant sculptor, Oskar J.W. Hansen, who created and dedicated the statues to the Hoover Dam in 1935 knew something? NEWS UPDATE & ANALYSIS NOVA KAKHOVKA DAM DESTROYED MORNING JUNE 6 The very large hydroelectric powerplant (HPP) dam over the Dniepr in northern Kherson oblast (region) has been destroyed. Exactly what happened is unclear, Ukraine and its western allies blame Russia. Some russian sources blame Ukraine. There is also a third alternative. The dam could have been damaged from earlier explosions. Ukraine did its best during the Khersonoffensive to cut the road on top of the dam with serveral missile strikes, and the dam might have got structural damage then. Earlier this year Ukraine closed the reservoirs further north on the Dniepr and some experts thought that was to lower the water level in the reservoir to make offensive operations easier. But later Ukraine opened up the water. The reservoir has been filling up with this water and it has put pressure on the Nova Kakhovka dam. There are no reasons for Russia to blow up the dam, since the water flowing to the south will mainly overflow the russian left eastern side of the river (look on the before and after maps) and the russian fortifications there. So the main alternatives are either that the ukrainian side destroyed the dam, but no large explosions has been seen, in preparation for the summer offensive, or that the dam collapsed under water pressure due to structural damage. The dam continue to collapse in sections and the water level in the reservoir sink with 15 cm each hour. For now there are no problems with cooling of the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant (ZNPP). But it might have to be closed if cooling becomes a problem. Water supply of Crimea are not threatened. The canal to Crimea starts north of the dam and it can be closed if water levels in the reservoir becomes to low. The small reservoirs along the canal are also filled to 80 percent. Power supply might become a large problem in large parts of Ukraine both in ukrainian and russian controlled territory if both Nova Kakhovka HPP and ZNPP are put out of function. Ukrainian economy will also get a hit since Ukraine has been able to export surplus electricity to Europe, which will be impossible now. If the ukrainian side close the dams north of the reservoir, water levels can get very low in the reservoir. It will make an attack over the reservoir much easier, but first the freed bottom must dry up, otherwise it will be hard to support anything else than very light infantry units. South of the dam some swy it will make an ukrainian attack easier since russian defence lines will be destroyed, but for a while the left eastern back will be overflowed and the Dniepr much broader. This will make it hard to build bridges and move heavy equipment over the river.

Culture is genetic because behavior is genetic. This beaver never saw a dam in its life. No beavers or anything else ever taught it to build a dam. It wants to build a dam because it is a beaver. Many beavers together build a big dam. That is beaver culture. Humans are not different. Nothing is different. This is what life is. This is how life works. Your body is your mind. A caterpillar wants to build a chrysalis. A bee wants to build a hive. A lion wants to build a pride. You are not special. You are not above your nature. you are INSIDE of it. The thoughts that we think are genetic thoughts. The crimes we commit are genetic crimes. The art we create is genetic art. Just like this beaver, you can give the animal different sticks and it will build a different dam, but it will always build a dam. And you can give humans different "education," but the human will always use it to do what its genes tell it to do. This is the first big answer that you need. This is the biggest piece of the puzzle. This is how to understand people 90% of the way. You just... notice what they do, and get out of the way, and watch them do it. And if they need sticks, you give them sticks. And if you don't like what they do, you have to get away from them. You cannot train dam-building into them or out of them any more than you can with a beaver. A beaver wants to build a dam because it is a beaver. We are managing record amounts of water from the French Broad, Nolichucky, and Pigeon Rivers flowing into Douglas Dam, holding that water back to protect downstream areas like Knoxville, Lenoir City, and even Chattanooga. In a controlled manner, we are releasing a record amount of water, over 450,000 gallons per second, using the dam's generating turbines and spillway gates. Douglas, one of our largest tributary dams, is stable and secure.

Chronology of Gujarat floods ! -Madhya Pradesh's Indirasagar Dam released 9.45 lakh cusecs of water into Narmada, days before PM's birthday so that the Narmada Dam reservoir reaches maximum water levels before PM's birthday on September 17. -On the day of PM's birthday, as part of the celebration, all the floodgates of the dam are thrown wide open to release water. -Mindlessly, 18 lakh cusecs of water gets released at one go. -As a result, Bharuch, Vadodara and Narmada districts of Gujarat gets flooded. -As you can see in the video, flood water enters homes and residential societies. -Thousands of people are left helpless, houses destroyed and some forced to take shelter on the roof of the houses as water submerged their homes. -Meanwhile, people from Saurashtra, North Gujarat and Kutch had been demanding water for a month now but it was not being released. Among the red flags surrounding this project are the illegal construction of access roads even before 2018, without local permits, without clearances, without the Free, Prior or Informed Consent (FPIC) of indigenous peoples’ (IP) communities, and in defiance of a stoppage order issued by the provincial Environment and Natural Office (ENRO); the questionable issuance of the Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC), and the lack of genuine consultation and representation in the conduct of the FPIC process. Clearly, the financial, environmental, social, and moral costs all outweigh the projected benefits of the Kaliwa Dam. We cannot call this development. We cannot call this progress. And we cannot, in good conscience, call this governance. Today, I also filed House Resolution No. 538 calling for a full and urgent inquiry into the Kaliwa Dam project. I call on the House leadership and my colleagues: Let us investigate. Let us uphold our mandate. Let us stand with the communities who have been silenced, displaced, dismissed, and endangered. The Brahmaputra is the lifeline of Assam and a major strategic asset of India. China's recent decision to construct the world's largest dam across the Yarlung Zangbo-Brahmaputra raises serious concerns about India's water security. I've written to both the Defence Minister and the External Affairs Minister regarding the disproportionate control of China over the water flow in the Brahmaputra River. I demand that water sharing and management be a key component of India's diplomatic engagement with China, especially at the level of the PM, the NSA, and the MEA. We must have an agreement that China must always share hydrological data supporting flood forecasting and management.
