thoughts on d2 content getting unvaulted

I believe with the progress they made on Shattered Cycle and The Nine storyline, they will finish The Shattered Cycle and The Alchemist to lead into the next mainline Destiny game.

Why does it feel like some of the major voices in the Destiny community don’t seem all that excited or happy about the news? This video has about 10 seconds of deadpan “stoked” happiness, and then the rest feels like prepping for disappointment.

I agree drop the number. After vaulting content the damn number was the big issue. No I'm not asking for a D1 remaster. Also agree, we've been here before and here we are yet again. Yes new faces, no we still don't know HOW MUCH of the leadership has been laid off and changed. I hope they realize they can't get comfortable once the campaigns, destinations, and raids are unvaulted. They have to keep holding that bar of excellence up otherwise we stagnate and wind up here again. They NEED to keep comms open and flowing, rather than promising they will and slowly going dark, otherwise we...stagnate and wind up here again. The onboarding experience in Destiny 2 AND Marathon represent how Bungie has always operated: "MEH, Good enough" and while a lot of players will figure stuff out with limited information, not every player is the same. Onboarding I would say is the second biggest problem.

I’ve tried to love and be hopeful as time went on, but when they initially sunset all my weapons that I grinded hours and hours for, it broke my love for this game. My desire to play hasn’t been the same.

While not a great thought, its fair to say that weve been told this for the last 10 years by the same leadership. Now the studio has completely different leadership. It might change, might not. But if they unvault content I wont complain.

Next iteration needs to be Destiny Beyond, not more Destiny 2…

They’ll need to restore and modernize it I think. When those campaigns were removed no one was playing them anymore.

We need a refresh, a new game. D2 will be a complete game after the unvaulting. I personally prefer having entirely new locations instead of the devs creating new activities in the sames areas.

D2 is built on legacy architecture that's why they went all in on marathons ai back end and lost. They are squeezing what they can with little effort out of D2 while pretending to cater to the masses. The future will be interesting.

It's pretty simple. Sony had to clean house to start over. Salary is the biggest expense. Unfortunate a lot of good employees got laid off. Bad management in the end. I personally look forward what the future holds.

Since you got credientials and a voice that is heard …. PLEASE 🙏 Have the starting song return to the OG D1 song… When u started up Destiny …. that song was it. Perfection. Exploring the mysteries of space… it cant ever be matched. Nor should it be changed ✊
