Thoughts on this? Heads up play or bush league?

I coach 9yr olds. I get that it’s a little annoying when things happen that aren’t ‘realistic’ but they need to be taught to play in ways that prevent this stuff is all.

Heads up play...can't leave home plate uncovered...pitcher or 1B should have been covering

Smart play, this could have easily been prevented by the pitcher and 1st baseman covering home once catcher is involved in rundown. Good learning opportunity.

Bush league. These 8 year olds should be more professional and have some class

The catcher can’t let this happen regardless of age. He deserved that.

This is where they learn not to let that happen. I’m good with it

Bush league. At this age, throw the ball to the pitcher and the play is dead.
