Game Speed Layups With The Kentucky Drill Layups can make or break a game. The problem is that in practice sometimes players don’t go full speed when doing their layups. This drill from The Buzz Half Court Trapping Defense from coach Kevin Furtado fixes that. The goal is 27 layups in one minute. All passes must be on target on time as the player sprints the full length of the floor to make their lay up. -Players are in charge of organizing the drills -Always start with a high energy drill when beginning practice -This is an opportunity to chart effort given by players when running sprints -1 and 2 start with the ball at the top of the key

This is what real basketball training looks like. 1) Lifting through full ROM 2) Jumping to Develop the SSC 3) Oly Lifts to Develop Force & Power We do this type of workout in our general prep period when we get our players back after a prolonged period of time off. The circuit is as followed: 1) Snatch From the Hip 2) Clean From The Hip 3) Squat 4) Plyo 5) Press 6) Pull 7) RDL We perform each movement for 6 repetitions with moderate load for up to 2-4 sets depending on their work capacity. The goal is to develop a metabolic base & work on efficient movement patterns before we go into our heavier strength blocks. We will perform this for 3-4 weeks depending on our assessments. Real basketball training isn’t full of gimmicks. It involves sprinting, jumping & foundation living patterns to build higher level athletes.

Team Dominator STORM CHASE MODE to be activated March 4-7 and beyond as an insane pattern for early season severe weather and #tornado threats is upon us! We will start with a warm-up chase in the Arklatex on March 4, then retreat west to the Texas Panhandle into western Oklahoma on March 5, with the #tornado threat likely peaking on March 6 across North Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and into Missouri. The Mid-March period is also very active as supported by background Pacific Ocean Climate conditions. Full-blown storm chase mode is about to be activated
