2/9 MP Gudrun Nordborg: how does one represent the Left Party in parliament while thinking that poor people cannot be intelligent? This is a prime example of trapping marginalised communities in a tone-policing game they cannot win:

3/9 Speak plainly: get dismissed as uneducated and uninformed. Speak eloquently: get accused of fraud. Either way, we end up silenced.

4/9 This cruel law is a devastating blow to our community. Now Sx Workers are paying the price. At Red Umbrella Sweden they are already witnessing the impact: - Sex workers are losing frightened clients - Income is vanishing overnight ⁃ Businesses are collapsing into bankruptcy

5/9 And guess who’s left to clean up the mess? We are. The Swedish government has done nothing to help. Not one krona. Not one word of support. RUS is receiving a flood of emails from sex workers. Many are desperate, asking how to survive, how to pay rent, how to stay safe.

6/9 Red Umbrella Sweden has never received public funding because under Sweden’s outdated pimping laws, simply supporting sx workers is treated as suspicious. Like always, they step in with what little they have. But they can’t do this alone. They need your help.

7/9 Your donation will help them: ❤️ Respond to emergency support requests ❤️ Provide information and guidance to sex workers in crisis ❤️ Offer emotional support and legal referrals ❤️ Keep our community connected and safe in a time of fear and isolation

8/9 This is not just about one law. It’s about survival, about dignity, about standing with those who are being pushed to the edge by a government that refuses to see their humanity.

9/9 If you’re angry, heartbroken, if you want to take action, please donate now and share the page. Every contribution helps us show sex workers in Sweden that they are not alone. Thank you for standing with us.

Like the plot to a dystopian movie, New York will now monitor social media writings, collect data, and use law enforcement to crack down on any expression it deems to be hate speech.

Just like the original Sex Purchase Law was in 1999, this law, a quarter of a century later, is a PR stunt. It mainly serves to promote Sweden's image abroad. Publishing quotes like this one would make Sweden's mask slip.

All these abolitionists look like men 😧
