In the Seanad today, I welcomed the failure of the Social Democrats to remove the three-day waiting period for abortion. Thousands of women have taken advantage of this waiting period to rethink and as a result went ahead with their pregnancy. Surely this is a cause for celebration, not the opposite. It seems to be a strategy on the extreme Left of politics to keep pushing for wider access to abortion, if only to prevent any discussion of the tragedy taking place in our midst– a major increase in the number of abortions taking place each year, no government strategy to reduce abortion or promote positive alternatives, and cruel practices in late-term abortion situations. People with different views on whether or when abortion should be legal should surely acknowledge that each abortion is a tragedy and we should work to reduce the numbers taking place.

I never knew this was a thing, I always thought most of the time the parents took kids to get ice cream after a game, and the parents all paid for their own kids. I can imagine having a child with food allergies is hard enough when it comes to snack time and the other parents aren’t taking in consideration what your own child’s food limitations are. In order to avoid any mishaps or leaving kids out of this, why doesn’t every parent bring their own snack for their own child, it would make it easier on all and would be more cost effective for the parents that could be struggling to pay for all of this. That’s just my opinion, what are your thoughts on bringing snacks for after sporting events for the kids?

Why? Limited Government. I knew from experience that the state didn’t really help poor people. Lower taxes. I was working my butt off to improve my lot in life and every cent counted as I didn’t have many of them, and I needed every cent I could to lift myself up, not think the government would do it for me. Self-responsibility. I knew I had to take responsibility for myself to change my own reality, not expect the government to do it for me because I knew that would not realistically happen. I’ve been ringing the alarm since last year about the expiration of tax credits that many Alaskans have relied on to afford their healthcare. As I see it, we have no choice but to modify and extend these tax credits to get us some time to find a permanent solution to this pressing problem. I hope my colleagues join me in the coming weeks and months in rising to the challenge of finding both short-term and long-term solutions to healthcare affordability in America.

My suggestion, while trying to pass a Constitutional Amendment to bring in Women's Reservation & increase the strength of Parliament to 750-815, bring in a law that makes it mandatory for over 80% attendance per session for every Member of Parliament. This includes right from top, from the Hon'ble PM, to the Hon'ble LoP to an ordinary Member of Parliament & failure to have over 80% attendance in two sessions will mean a dismissal as MP. Also each MP has to raise 10 written questions for their constituency per session & a failure of this would mean the MPs will not get their perks as MPs! I am sure you agree with me :
