Rescuers also found the body of a dead worker alongside them. The flooding began on August 26 after a landslide in the mountains on the Nepal-China border. At least 1,294 people were killed, and more than 5,000 remain missing. Around 900 hydropower workers are also considered missing — about 500 of them may be trapped in underground tunnels. The search operation is ongoing.
