Three months ago, two things happened: I launched New Things and discovered traditional business banking is a mess. George Lucas on how he had to reluctantly write the screenplay for 'American Graffiti' (1973) & the confidence he gained from the movie's success: "When I was doing 'American Graffiti' (1973) I was still struggling with my ‘I don’t want to be a writer’ syndrome. I had some good friends of mine that I wanted to write the screenplay, but it took me like two years just to get the money to do a screenplay. And I got a little tiny amount of money and—which I had to go actually to the Cannes Film Festival to get on my own. So finally I got this money. I called back and I said, you know, “I got the money. We can start working on the screenplay.” And they said, “Oh, we don’t want to do that now. We’ve got our own low-budget picture off the ground and we can’t write it.” I said, “Oh no.” I said, “What am I going to do? I am in Europe and I’m not going to be back for like three months and I want to get this thing off the ground.” So they recommended another student from school that I knew pretty well. I had a story treatment that laid out the entire story scene by scene, so I called him over the phone from London and I said, “Do you want to do this?” And he said, “Okay.” The person I was working with at that time as a producer made a deal with him for the whole money because there wasn’t very much. It was so tiny that he could only get him to do it for the whole amount of money. When I came back from England, the screenplay was a completely different screenplay from the story treatment. It was more like 'Hot Rods to Hell' (1967). It was very fantasy-like, with playing chicken and things that kids didn’t really do. I wanted something that was more like the way I grew up. So I took that and I said, “Okay. Now here I am. I’ve got a deal to turn in a screenplay. I’ve got a screenplay that is just not the kind of screenplay I want at all and I have no money.” And, I spent the very last money I had saved up to go to Europe to make the deal, so I had nothing. That was a very dark period for me so I sat down myself and wrote the screenplay. When I’m planning a trip I usually expect things to go as planned when it comes to the hotel. But what do I do when I get there and it’s nothing like what I expected? Should I stay or complain or should I just leave? Let me know what you do. I ended up just leaving because it wasn’t any cheaper to stay. For me it’s like ordering a high end burger for $30 and getting a $2 burger from McDonald’s for the $30 price. In a world where money walks I let my wallet do the talking and trying to pull the bait and switch on me won’t work.

This woman spent $50k on a used car at a dealer only for them to come back to her later and ask for the car back. They claimed the other owner bought an electric car that she didn’t like and wanted to back out of the deal when in reality they didn’t pay off the trade and the other woman was still making payments on it. For me this would be my biggest nightmare if I ever bought a car. I couldn’t imagine being lied to by the dealership like this. I would never think something like this could happen because when I am buying a new car, there is an air of excitement that comes with the car and the new features and styling. I wouldn’t be able to control myself if I found out the dealer was lying all this time because the previous owner had to track me down and come visit me themselves. It would be overwhelming for me to even know where to start for something like this. I wouldn’t think this happens often, I think the first thing that pops into mind would be to call an attorney. So after spending all that money on a car, now I have to pay more for an attorney just so I don’t get ripped off. Needless to say the plan for me is to eliminate the deal, take the car back, get my down payment back and go to a brand new dealer. I wouldn’t be able to trust the previous dealer to have done the right thing. I would have zero trust in them anymore.

My first meal with Posha shows where humanoid robots, human, Robotaxis all fit together in the home. My wife is away this weekend so had to make food for me and the kids. I tried a Chicken and Sausage Gumbo. First, the kids loved it. And they are very picky eaters. So huge success. But the tasks broken down show how robots are about to change our homes deeply. First I had to go shopping for the ingredients. My closest grocery store is a 10-minute drive from my home. Then when in the store it took me about 25 minutes to find everything for the meal and wait in line to pay. That is 45 minutes out of my Saturday. Then once I got home, preparing all the food, mincing garlic, cutting chicken and sausage, took me about 20 minutes. Loading the Posha and setting it up took another five. Then it worked for almost two hours while my friend and I watched Formula 1. If I had to stir and cook I wouldn’t have been able to have nearly as much fun. Then cleaning up and loading the dishwasher took another 15 minutes. Once Robotaxis (humanless ones are just starting in my neighborhood) and humanoids arrive (I expect them in 2027 in this context) then the buying and cleaning steps will be automated and some of the preparation steps. So cooking this meal will go from multiple hours to maybe a few minutes to help cut and mince things that maybe a humanoid will struggle with. Which means I get to spend a lot more time to spend with my friends and family. Which is why I am an early customer of 1X, and Tesla Robotaxi, and a variety of AI tools, like Genspark (an optional ingredient was Okra that my Safeway and Walmart did not have so in the future I will have an app I built in Genspark call around to find). Doing things with AI lets you do less of the things you hate (I hate going to grocery stores and having to stand over a hot stove making a decent sauce) and more of the things I love (watching Formula 1 with friends). Who will be the company that puts this all together in a way most humans can understand? Some Chinese company? Sunday ? Or Tesla? My bet is on Tesla. We will see by 2030 whether I am right.

🦊 i finished wrapping up first my solo recently and as words from people around me started influencing me, it really stressed me out and it really started swaying my identity as a person…i was really burnt out for 3 months 🦊 i used to be someone that told people everything when i was going through a hard time like “i’m going through a tough time right now” but i don’t know when it started, but i couldn’t get myself to tell people around me anymore 👤 i wonder why? was it out of consideration for them? 🦊 that could be why…and i also felt like i needed to learn how to overcome things myself 🦊 i didn’t say anything to anyone and was going through it myself…then i thought about namjoon hyung so i went to him and asked him a lot of questions and one of the things he said to me was that he hopes i face the things that make me uncomfortable 🦊 i had conflicts with soobin and we had awkward phases but i wanted to erase all of these things one by one and i feel like there were also a lot of things that i had been misunderstanding, coming to think of it now…so i went up to soobin first and said “hey, let’s go get a drink”

Because my mother in her grave would never allow me to say such things, I should have never judged Mam Nkosazana and her track record on the basis of her being Jacob Zumas wife. It was wrong to say that about a veteran of our movement. So we all say things but we must reflect and apologise. 🐶 There's something I want to ask all of you. As Wheeinie, as Jung Wheein. There might be times where I want to go on a break right. For example a break after album promotions, or when I need a breather. And I'd like to go somewhere like Jeju or somewhere overseas to live for a month or two before, what do all of you think? It's ok? I can do it? : Unnie you've been wanting to do this for a long time, please just go 🐶 But people for a schooling or working, you should know this. Living somewhere else for a month, it's a difficult decision to make. Because you have to move things backwards if you were to do it. But I really want to try to do it at least once. I felt many things whenever I go on vacations. Rather than saying I'm seeing more things than my daily lives, it makes me think of my 2nd life. I'm the type that has alot of thoughts. I want to leave and go see things out there too., so in the future.. I think I need that too (living somewhere else for a month or 2).
