He said you’re looking at it as an economic decision. It’s not. It’s an emotional one. Three weeks later, June 2016, they Brexited. That was the moment I understood something real about the reality of politics in the US and the UK. Would I be surprised if Farage became Prime Minister? Not really. The Conservatives had their run. Labour is struggling. We’re in an anti-incumbency era across the entire West and Reform has never actually held power. So people shrug and say it can’t get any worse, let’s try something new. I hope it doesn’t happen. I think their policies are asinine. But I said Brexit couldn’t happen either.

Under EU law, a person from another EU country can move to another country 1. If they have enough money to support themselves and their families . 2. If they have health Insurance. 3. If they are seeking work they can stay in Ireland for three months but again they MUST have enough money to support themselves and their families and have health Insurance. 4. They can apply for an extension of another three months if they are looking for work. So the question is why is Ireland 1. Paying for housing for persons from other EU countries who failed to optain work. 2. Paying social welfare to persons who moved here from other EU countries for extended periods of time. Also bear in mind There is no automatic entitlement to access social welfare payments in Ireland as an Irish citizen. To qualify you will need to satisfy payment related criteria, and either have enough social insurance contributions, or satisfy the HRC "Habitual Residence Condition" and a means test in some cases. Yet this guy wants it all.

Tobe Hooper on the the commercial failure of "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2" (1986): "Interviewer: What inspired you to make "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2" (1986) so contemporary? Hooper: Well, we were living in a new time. There was Reaganomics, affluence, Ferris Bueller. And since very few people saw the ironic humor in the original 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' (1974), I decided, rightfully or wrongfully, to make it a comedy, a film of its time. Interviewer: So finally, you did a comedy. Hooper: Yeah! It was a comedy that couldn’t get an MPAA rating, so they went out with it anyway, unrated. They couldn’t advertize. And the audience at the time didn’t want that kind of film. The core audience of the film was pissed off, because what they wanted to see was more of the same. But as with a lot of my pictures I made something that was actually appreciated ten or fifteen years later. It has a lot of fans now. Looking back, it’s one of those strange films, where you wonder how it ever got made. You don’t know why it exists, like 'Showgirls' (1995), which I liked a lot.
