Kevin Garnett says every young player looks exactly the same nowadays because of their trainers "Everybody looks the same. I can tell the trainer that’s training everybody, he’s training everybody... everybody look the same. Everybody stepping back three or four times. I get it, when you got to do... show more

Accidental basketball, said best by Kobe

Kevin Garnett does a really good job of breaking the game down. I’ve heard a bunch of takes from him where even if I don’t agree he still makes sense and has a good feel of the game This take right here is literally dead on point There’s so many guys currently in the NBA with the 6’9 Ball Handler archetype right now but they all play similar styles so a lot of them aren’t even getting the opportunity Emoni Bates is a Perfect example of that Guys need to get back to being more creative and playing more Freestyle basketball instead of Whole summers in AAU styled Rico Haynes camps

They’ve trained the reckless dunker out of the game and it makes me sad.

60 high Pick & Roll possessions to prevent role players from making passes from a WINGSPOT.

KG is 100% correct, the @nba is unwatchable...not sure what it even is anymore, because it's not competitive basketball.

Whose teaching rui hachimura and Luke kennard , cuz they doing everything right offensively imo

@DrewHanlen 😂

@DrewHanlen is a fraud

He swears incessantly. Some swearing is fine. KG is over the top. Becomes unlistenable

It’s because kids don’t play 5v5 at mass scale . So kids who are interested have to be trained and walked thru “how to play” so of course everything looks textbook. Us coaches don’t have time to teach instincts and originality.

That explains why the top NBA best 5 are european / canadian players

Right index finger for me

I was thinking about that

GOAT talk

He is spot on.. been thinking the same for years

He's spitting and then your MVP calibers players like SGA talk about having a counter to a counter to a counter to a counter lol

Wolves sure fit this criteria

@_Monta_ There are intangible parts of the game that can’t be taught and kinds simply haven’t played long enough to develop them. Coaches can only teach from their experience and there are exponentially more trainers without college/pro experience than there are with it.

Yep

Just one on one basketball nowadays.

Yet he’s it offering to train anyone

@SainAsylum And now the little skills trainers think they are celebrities. Posting pics with their clients like fan boys.

@Swvggy3 here's another hall of famer talking about the duplication of skill sets in the League.

KG likes this generation, he really don't be hatin at all. I understand for some that constructive criticism is seen as automatic hate in today's era

Random Rec🏀

Every era has its critics who played in the league. At some point adaptation and acceptance is necessary to embrace the game and enrich it. Constant complaining is a bad look.
