For most of my adult life I dismissed the scenes in Alien where the crew are communicating with MU-TH-UR as an unrealistic 1970's concept of what computer interfaces of the future would be like. Nowadays I realize that this is pretty much what people are doing with LLMs.

I remember as a kid getting to this part in BO2 thinking it was unrealistic. I mean, advertising that takes YOUR face, and puts it on the product? No way that would ever happen, right? ... Kinda wish I was right, honestly.
