Quentin Taratino said Lawrence Fishburne’s performance in King of New York was so incredible he thought - “he could be the greatest actor of his generation”. He explains: "As great as Christopher Walken is in this movie. To me, it's Larry Fishburne's movie - it was the rock that becomes a diamond aspect of the movie. This part of The Neverending Story is more devastating as a metaphor for 2025 then it ever was when I was a kid. Atreyu tries to tell his horse Artax how the swamps are. That the sadness isn't real. That he's letting it get to him. Atreyu begs Artax to get out of it, if not for himself then his friend — to no avail. Time passes. Finally Atreyu looks up and Artax is gone. He gave in to the illusion. Atreyu did everything he could think of, he begged, he cried, he screamed, but in the end he couldn't save his friend because he refused to save himself. This is one of the hardest lessons to learn in life. Ever.

So many people tagged me yesterday about this young man who had made a placard with my name at Archives. Today while I was in the CBD on official duty. I found him still standing at the same spot with the same placard and took time to engage him in a conversation. I asked him why he chose that approach, especially knowing that some people might misunderstand his intentions or view it negatively. He honestly told me that he chose that direction because he understands Kenyans controversy trends fast, and he believed it was the quickest way to get his message to reach me. He clarified that he is a straight young man with a girlfriend and simply wanted an opportunity to speak to me and see how his life could change. When I asked how I could help, he humbly said he only wished for two things: to take him and his girlfriend out for a Valentine’s dinner and, more importantly, to enroll in college to pursue an ICT course and build his future. His honesty and determination touched me. I promised to support his education, and today I took him to ICS College for sponsorship. I’m happy to share that he will now be enrolled and given a chance to pursue his dream in ICT. Sometimes all someone needs is not money, not fame just an opportunity and someone who believes in them.

Why is my cat doing this? This is his room. Everything he needs is in here because he can be a troublemaker and occasionally he gets closed in there, which he seems very comfortable with. This has been his room since we adopted him which was over a year ago now and he hangs out in this room by choice often. Recently, he has started going in his room and closing the door. Is he trying to get my attention by doing this? Is he just playing or is he actually smart enough to want to be closed in the room and shut the door himself? 😂

“The idea was, when he (Vincent D'Onofrio) decides to reveal himself they did a special version of his makeup that was very stretchable. What he does is he grabs the back of his head and he just starts tugging on it. The idea was he would pull it as far as he could, and then we would take over stretching the image, making it appear to be distorting in a way that it physically couldn’t. Then basically when I shot Vince I just kept urging him to pull harder, and harder, and harder until finally the final take he just pulled it until the makeup just ripped. We said, ‘Okay, we got it.’ That’s what’s in the show because it’s really tugging on his face the maximum it could be done, and then we just extended that. Last night in Kawangware, I met this man whom I initially thought was a security guard. After speaking with him, I later came to learn that he is a Nigerian national currently living on the streets. Whenever I meet someone living on the streets, I always take time to engage with them, understand their story, and learn how they ended up there. My goal is always to see how best I can help them rebuild their lives. During our conversation, he shared that he came to Kenya after receiving a promise of sponsorship from his cousin to continue his education here. However, after only two weeks in the country, his cousin who had promised to support him left for the United States without enrolling him in school, leaving him stranded in Kenya. As we continued talking, he explained how he struggled to survive and eventually ended up living on the streets. He has now been on the streets for about two years. In one of the videos I recorded, a lady reached out to me and said she recognized him. According to her, they once lived in the same apartment building. She narrated how the man had been in a relationship with a lady who allegedly took everything he owned. This incident deeply affected him, pushing him into depression and eventually to the streets. The man also shared that at one point he worked in Dubai, where he used to send money back home to support his parents in Nigeria. However, when he later returned home, he claims he discovered that he had been deceived by the very people he trusted. He gave me his parents’ contact, although we were not able to fully hear their side of the story. Currently, his travel documents have expired, and he expressed that his biggest wish is to renew them so that he can return home to Nigeria and start life again. I offered to use my platform to help fundraise for the renewal of his documents, as he personally requested. He also asked if I could help him secure any form of work so that he could at least sustain himself as he waits to regularize his documents. However, after spending time with him and assessing his situation, it became clear to me that he urgently needs mental health support, as he appears to be struggling with depression. I therefore decided that the following morning I would take him to a private rehabilitation center where professionals could assess him and offer the help he needs. After we agreed on this plan, I took him to a hotel where he could spend the night safely. I paid for his room and food, intending to pick him up the following morning and take him for rehabilitation. Unfortunately, later in the morning I received a call from the hotel attendant informing me that although the man had slept well, he left the guest house very early in a hurry. Later reports indicated that he had been seen back on the streets. Since then, efforts to locate and rescue him have not been successful. I am informed that he rarely accepts help from people, which makes the situation even more challenging. If anyone happens to see or locate him, please kindly contact me through +254707946783 so that we can assist him, take him for rehabilitation, and help facilitate his return to his home country. CNN’s John Miller tells Jake Tapper in the 6pm hour that it’s now clear the Minneapolis Catholic school shooter did not have “a specific motive” and there “won’t” ever “be a specific motive” because his “manifesto” was “kind of rambling” and “hate[d] everybody”.... “Well, looking through the manifesto, that's a lot of pages. Kind of rambling. A lot of it is his self pity for how his life is going, that he has been depressed for a long time, that he has been planning to do this for a long time, that he knows it's wrong, that he knows his friends are going to hate him for it, that he knows he's going to take his own life at the end of it. He said it was better to die standing up than kneeling down for all the injustices he appears to believe he has suffered during his life. This is not foreign territory for us. Ever thought why we support Rahul Gandhi even after so many defeats? Because he is only person in this country for whom government has to block the entire national capital region just to stop him. He might be loosing elections because of the weak organisation and he has work a lot on that. We will also criticise him for that. But when it comes to the ideological commitment, we can't believe any other person. When everyone is ready to be getting sold. No one is more committed for the ideology than him. We know that he will fight BJP-RSS till his last breath. I really feel that if he had not been between BJP-RSS and the people, India would have seen a worse situation than it has ever seen before. He himself is loosing elections but also saving India from that worst situation!!

(ironic that they are called massagers, doesn't feel like a massage at all). The most retarded thing about Zack's Pixel Fold battery explosion is his claim (and people repeating it) that this is the first time ever that this happened. Well YEAH because it was also the FIRST TIME that he pushed it way beyond his usual destruction and kept trying to fold it over at the breaking point (the antenna) way after it already got destroyed On all his other ""tests"" he always stops when the phone breaks. Not to much here. After it broke he tried to completely fold it and THAT was the point that damaged the battery which resulted in it starting to smoke. Don't blame fucking Google, blame his retarded ""testing"" It's literally the FIRST time he did this to a phone. Not the first time this happening in his tests". When you hear the advice "hire the best," this is what that looks like: "We had a candidate who came and interviewed. He was a junior at MIT and very very young. We gave him our interview and he did way better than almost any of the full-time candidates that we had ever talked to. So we said to him, what do you think about taking some time off of school and working with us and building out Devin? And he thought about it for a while, and he came back, and he said I'm down, I want to do it, but my parents really want me to graduate from school, and I'm just not sure there's a way to make it work. So we talked with him more to fully understand the situation, and then we flew to North Carolina, went straight from the airport to his parents' house, had dinner with him and his parents, and tried to understand, all right, what would it take to make this work? They said it sounds like a great opportunity, but we really want our son to be able to graduate. So we figured out a setup where he could work for us essentially full time, but then come in for his required classes, and do what he needed to do to get the diploma. This lil kid has a lil spunk to him but he just don’t have the people to guide him the right way. When we got here I watched him in practice and how he worked, he reminded me of Kobe a lot. I should start by saying I'm no journalist. Today, a random boy from Kavango East approached me and my colleagues as we sat by the parking outside. First we thought he was begging. Only for him to tell us his name is George Kakuwa. Then he went on to say he was the boy who walked 200km to Rundu to attend the founding father's memorial service last year (2025) in February. I of course searched up the newspaper article just to make sure it was him. Before I could even verify, he continued saying he never got his money and he never went back to school. Most of us remember this story, and how he was hailed as a symbol of youthful inspiration, so much so that a certain amount was pledged to help him and his grandmother with his school. But according to him, it never reached the boy or the family. I recorded the video as evidence, his words are his own whether true or not. Someone should definitely follow up on this story to verify.
