Tiger Woods, perhaps the greatest iron player ever, does ZERO excess shallowing in transition. Why is everyone obsessed with trying to do this shallowing move? 🤔 Stop wasting your time!

Hey just swing like tiger and you’ll play better!

Hey, don’t fall for a bunch of internet BS and you’ll play better!

I wasted a year of my golf life trying to shallow my swing. My hottest hot take: a little over-the-top isn't the worst thing in the world. If it isn't creating a huge slice, just swing your swing.

I hit a baby cut with it. I love it!

Based on the outfit I would pin this around 2015, which of all the versions of Tiger's swing, is not the one I would identify first as the one to emulate.

It’s a well-struck shot Sean, but you’ll have a hard time finding any swing where Tiger drops it under in transition.

IMO a single plane swing is the easiest to repeat and the ability to repeat = consistency which = better scores. I will say though i spent far too much time trying to bow my wrist cause I thought it was necessary to improve but just became a waste of time.

Agreed. The bow was a lot of effort and not much result for me. However, I find going inside and over most repeatable personally.

Release the trail hand to start the backswing, then release the lead hand to start the downswing. Get out of the way and let the club do the rest. Just figured this out this season thanks to the great Shawn Clements teachings

Because 95% of golfers are too steep seems like a pretty decent reason people are obsessed

Okay, that's fair enough. 😆
