Pretty soon I was seeing shots more clearly, committing to them and expecting good results. And here’s the interesting part: a lot of my first shots were perfectly good. I’m constantly going back and forth between a stronger grip and a weaker grip. I definitely feel more powerful with a strong grip, yet players like Jack Nicklaus and Bryson DeChambeau have proven that a weaker grip can produce incredible power. What I do love about a weak grip is that it takes the left side of the course out of play. For many golfers, that alone can be a game changer. If you’re struggling to hit fairways, experiment with a weaker grip. You might be surprised by how solid you’ll hit it. Often times it allows golfers to rotate more aggressively through impact without fearing a hook, which can actually increase clubhead speed.

🎬 New Golf Movie Announcement I’ve just written a new film called Hustlers. It’s the story of a young Texas hotshot known as “Cowboy” Cody Keller, who makes his living hustling unsuspecting players on South Texas munis. When Cody gets taken to the cleaners by a master hustler named Rex, his world changes. Rex takes Cody under his wing and teaches him how the big money hustles really work in Dallas. But once Cody learns the system and goes out on his own, the game turns dangerous. He finds himself deep in trouble with ruthless characters who don’t lose lightly—and want blood. Hustlers isn’t just a movie script—it’s also a novel. My last golf novel, Jack Dagger, debuted at #1 on Amazon in the golf category, and I believe this story has even bigger legs.
